JonBenét Ramsey: Unsolved Murder After looking over all of the evidence in the JonBenét Ramsey murder case it is clear to me that the Ramsey family murdered JonBenét. I believe that the brother Burke Ramsey actually killed JonBenét but Patsey and John conducted the covered up. Out of all the suspects that were interrogated he was the only one that stood out to me. Burke was the only person that could of done it. He was in the house at the time of the murder, he was jealous of JonBenét because she was the pageant winner and like the trophy child in the family. She always got what she wanted and she always got more attention from her parents then Burke did. First of all there is an easy motive for Burke with his sister, he was always jealous and he was always quiet and to himself unlike JonBenét she …show more content…
He did not mean to kill her but he did want to hurt her cause she stole the pineapple. Patsy and John heard them fighting came down the stairs and saw JonBenét on the floor and they freaked out and panicked. They couldn’t let this get out into the public cause they were an eyesore and they new that if the word of Burke killing JonBenét they knew they would lose Burke too. So patsy and John did what they had to do. Patsy wrote a ransom note put it in the stairs, John “strangled” her and made it look like someone had broken in by smashing a window and tieing JonBenét up and hid her in the basement and locked the door. They told Burke not to worry and to got to sleep and told him the plan on how he did not do it and that he didn’t know what happened to
The investigation continued as a police investigation until the District Attorney’s office was asked to take over the investigation on March 12, 1998 (Denver Post, 1999). The net development, of note, in the case occurred on June 24, 1998, when the Ramseys return to Colorado to be interrogated by the District Attorney’s investigators (Denver Post, 1999). It was at this time that Burke Ramsey, JonBenet’s 11 year old brother is questioned for the first time, even though he was in the house on the night the murder took place. On September 16, 1998, the assembled grand jury begins their investigation into the case, and tis investigation lasted for more than a year, and ultimately, no indictments were issued, and no responsible parties were ever identified (Denver Post,
By focusing on development in children this would not have happened. The case of JonBenet Ramsey has captivated the nation for over twenty years, and it is one of the most famous mysteries out there. Even with all of the evidence that was found, nobody has been charged with the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. There are many theories as to what had happened;
For example, they found cut up pineapples with Burke's fingerprints on it. On the autopsy performed on JonBenet, it showed that she has previously eaten pineapples before the time of her death. Burke, JonBenet's brother, claims he never even came near pineapple. Another piece of evidence that was found was blood on JonBenet's underwear. A DNA sample of the blood was extracted and tested.
Burke states "For the last 20 years, I wanted to grow up like a normal kid, which does not include going in front of TV cameras.” I, myself find it ironic that Burke was never publicly interviewed until he was grown and officially ruled out as a potential suspect. I believe it is clear that JonBenet’s older brother was an aspect of his sisters' murder or at least knew exactly what happened the night of the murder. However, his parents tried to protect him as a young child by not allowing their son to be interviewed in the event that he would slip up and say something that could put the whole family under investigation. The article and interview used pathos by appealing to the viewer's emotions as Burke Ramsey was explaining and revisiting the thoughts of his sister's death.
Medical doctor Jeffrey R. MacDonald, labeled by the press in the 1980's as the "Green Beret Killer," has already spent 27 years in federal penitentiaries for murders he did not commit. To quote Harvard legal scholar Alan Dershowitz, "Jeffrey MacDonald is the most victimized person in the history of United States jurisprudence." The grisly, ritualistic-style murders of which he was convicted took place in Dr. MacDonald's home located in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, onFebruary 17, 1970, between 2 and 3 am in the morning.
Though almost tried by a jury, John was cleared by the 2008 DNA test his wife was also cleared from and walks as a free man... well, not quite - many people have held John under suspicion since the day he found his daughter’s body in his basement. As expressed by the first detective at the scene in an interview with ABC News, “I see John Ramsey carrying JonBenét up the last three steps from the basement and my mind exploded - everything that I had noted that morning that stuck out instantly made sense. As we [John Ramey] looked at each other, I remember tucking my gun and consciously counting my bullets.” In the interview, Detective Arndt clearly looks distraught while telling of her experience and alludes to the killer being John.
Murder, as defined by PC:187 of the California Penal Code, is the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought. On June 13th, 1994, a passerby found Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown dead outside of her condominium in Brentwood California. Immediately, police went to go question ex-husband Orenthal James (O.J.) Simpson. After a long winded and in-depth investigation in which all evidence pointed towards Mr.Simpson as the perpetrator, O.J was found not guilty for two cases of murder in the first degree. One of the most controversial aspects of the case, aside from the celebrity status of the lead suspect, is the large amount of evidence and how it was poorly and improperly handled.

JonBenet Ramsey who was a young loving beauty queen of Colorado, who’s live was taken way too early. JonBenet was murdered in her home in Boulder Colorado on December 26, 1996 at the age of six. After completing my research, I was able to make a prediction of who I believed murdered the incent child, and it did not take much research to see the mistakes made by the Boulder Police Department. The Boulder Police Department made numerous mistakes in the JonBenet Ramsey case.
The girls body however was found in the basement later that afternoon. JonBenet’s skull had been fractured, she had been sexually assaulted, she was strangled with a garrote made from one of patsy’s paintbrushes. The police suspected that the ransom note had been written by Patsy and the ransom note and the appearance of the child’s body had been staged by her parents in order to cover up the crime. Apparently JonBenet's official cause of death was asphyxia a by strangulation. Her death was classified as
The story of JonBenét's death is more complicated than a girl gone missing, JonBenét’s body was found in the basement of the Ramsey house by John Ramsey. The crime scene was compromised by people coming to the scene. Later, police claimed they did not search the house because the ransom note gave them no reason
The murder of Jonbenet Ramsey is a really depressing and mysterious at that. The murder was extremely brutal, she had wounds on her face, a cracked skull, duct tape on her mouth, she was tied up, and she had a garrote around her neck. According to the documentary we watched she was hit in the head with a flashlight and then strangled with a garrote. It was expected that she snatched a piece of pineapple from her brother’s bowl in which he hit her with a flashlight because of it, and she was still alive so it was most likely the parents got in on it because they didn’t want to be filed for abuse and jailed so they strangled her to death and put a blanket over her body, breaking a window and adding a ransom note to make it seem like someone broke in.
In the murder mystery Trifles, written by Susan Glaspell, she depicts gender equality in society and draws attention to the societal values that women had at the time. Although the women were treated with no importance, she emphasizes how their devotion lies with one another and how they survive the patriarchal society through conflict, irony, and symbolism. One of the significant conflicts in Trifles is the question of who the women are loyal to, their husbands, the law, or themselves. “..she may have something more serious than preserves to worry about” “Well, women are used to worrying over trifles. ”(4).
