The Industrial Revolution is about the factories in Manchester and in the surrounding districts. People always seemed cheerful and alerted. The conviction of children would thrive better when employed in our modern factories. When the children are working it is better than staying at home.
The Industrial revolution is about people who work in the factories. Some factories children work are very dangerous. Some of the other factories where the men work in are very dangerous to. The clothes that they wore were nasty and dirty and old.
Some of the other factories are very big on the outside but are really small on the inside.
The Industrial Revolution began in England during the late 1700’s. This movement introduced improved agricultural methods, textile industries, and the export of machine-made goods. Because the agricultural business was finding more efficient ways to manage their products, the working class decreased in this field (Document 7). This extreme drop in numbers led to people whining for a steady, supportive job. Luckily for the thousands of unemployed, the demand for factory workers increased (Document 2).
The Industrial Revolution was a period where factories were enhanced and new luxuries were created, some of the luxuries are still used today! This Technological Revolution was a generation where Industrialization began, which was the development of factories and other human resources. The Industrial Revolution included many positive and negative effects for citizens, but for factory workers it was mainly negative. During The Industrial Revolution, citizens were forced to work in polluted factories with dangerous and terrible conditions.
People had many opportunities to work during this time. Before the Industrial Revolution children usually grew up and had the same profession as their parents because that’s what their parents taught them. Once the revolution started however, children were able to work in factories, as servants, on farms and etc. During this time, a lot of technology was created but jobs were also cut down. Machines like the spinning jenny were invented, which gave factories the option to cut down on their employees.
By 1780’s, the Industrial Revolution in Great Britain began to further accelerate as machinery advancements allowed factories and businesses to produce more at a cheaper and faster rate. Cites such as Manchester, were greatly affected and became vast areas constructed of canals, railroads, and areas of development. Poor living and working conditions along side a dismal city were issues caused by the industrial growth of Manchester; as the course of the 19th century continued reforms were imposed to resolve these issues. The Industrial Revolution started in eighteenth century Britain. There were innovative advances in society that led to the faster production of goods. Due to this major advancement, agriculturalists needed to leave their property and urbanize to what became bustling cities. The most plentiful occupation that required workers were the frightening industrial facilities. These horrid factories changed the lives of these farmers compelling them to work over a dozen hours in a day.
The Industrial Revolution refers to a time of greatly increased output of machine-made goods that emerged within the textile industry. The Industrial Revolution, which began in England in the late 1700’s, had a wide range of positive and negative effects on the economic and social life of the people of England. The results of the Industrial Revolution have been interpreted many ways through the various social classes of Britain; the peasants who suffered from the dangers of the factories and tenements and the upper class who benefited from capital and enterprises. The Industrial Revolution was overall a negative thing because if forced childhood labor, caused the environment to fail, and it brought many negative effects onto the people. The Industrial Revolution brought a big change upon the society, one example is childhood labor. Children were forced to work and were often severely injured because of the factory work they were assigned to do. In Document 10 it speaks about how severe these injures can get.
During the Industrial Revolution, it was not only a time of change for the economy, but also for many towns and villages in England. What was once a respectably sized village in the late eighteenth century turned into the bustling city of Manchester during the nineteenth century. Although the revolution saw the country pushed forth into a new era of productivity, it spelled horror for the working class. Issues in Manchester were rampant, such as the deplorable living conditions, the working man being squashed beneath the iron heel of the businessmen, the decline of religion, and pollution of the once great country. While economic and social change has occurred throughout history, certain time periods have seen great change. One such time was the Industrial Revolution in England. Among the positive change during this time were new improved technology, cheaper good, Transportation, better house, Trade, Increased of mass production. Some negative changes were children working at a young age, pollution, wages, working condition, no privacy, and security. Majority of the people benefited a lot during the Industrial Revolution because of the new technology that’s available, faster transportation, cheaper products so the poor can afford.
Technological advancements,health conditions,and poor working conditions were all issues raised by Manchester’s growth, and people reacted in both negative and positive ways. The Industrial Revolution witnessed the evolution of large urban centers, such as Boston and New York City. It changed society from agrarian to mechanical, which further moved jobs to larger cities. As every coin has two sides, there are negative sides to this. Primarily, it caused severe pollution. The environment condition was bad with smokes surrounding them.
The Industrial Revolution was a horrific time in the 1700s by the fact that it caused bad pollution and children would be worn out at the end of their work day. The greatest aspect of industrialization was that the kids and adults had good surroundings. “Of these there are 500 children who are entirely fed, clothed, and educated by Mr.Dale” (Document 6). The quote is evidence that shows the kids were well cared for.
Something that was good about the industrial revolution was that there was more workers and people could get payed more. Things that were bad was that little kids could. That’s bad because kid get hurt for example, for kids who worked on farms would ride on horse rakes and easily fall off and get crushed. Kids would get overworked after working 12 hours a day.
The industrial revolution created an age of wonder for the rich but also created a nightmare for the workers powering the industrial revolution. The period of rapid industrial growth during the 1800s and into the early 1900s was more harmful because of poor working conditions, violent labor disputes and poor regulations at factories. The Industrial Revolution was a major change in the nature of production in which machines replaced tools and steam and other energy sources replaced human or animal power. The Industrial Revolution began in England in the middle 1700s. During the Industrial Revolution, workers became more productive, items were manufactured, prices dropped, making hard to make items available to the working and middle class and not only the wealthy. Life generally improved, but the Industrial Revolution was also harmful. Pollution increased, working conditions were harmful, and capitalists employed women and young children, making them work long hours for low wages.
