The Industrial Revolution was a period where factories were enhanced and new luxuries were created, some of the luxuries are still used today! This Technological Revolution was a generation where Industrialization began, which was the development of factories and other human resources. The Industrial Revolution included many positive and negative effects for citizens, but for factory workers it was mainly negative. During The Industrial Revolution, citizens were forced to work in polluted factories with dangerous and terrible conditions. The photograph for Document 7 demonstrates how much pollution was getting put out into the environment because of the factories. The pollution that is being exposed is dangerous, because it can lead to citizens
During the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s an economic and industrialized revolution took place in America. As important natural and manmade resources such as Iron, coal, and lumber had just become easily accessible. Which for most meant an improvement on their living conditions, but for the poverty it meant sustaining their life was going to get harder. The wealthy became wealthier and the poor became the mule of labor. “Those who are above the point of separation are elevated, but those who are below are crushed down,” (Doc 3).
In late 1800’s the Industrial revolution started to begin. Since products were being mass produced, the clothes and other products got sold quickly and cheaply since everyone had a sufficient amount, they needed to find new customers/market so they went to Africa looking to sell their product and I thought the 3 main reasons for this Industrial revolution leading to imperialism are economics, political, and religion. In the 1800’s The Industrial Revolution led into Imperialism and Economics was one of the main causes. There are many reasons to back this claim up to like in (Document B) “Purely financial considerations also characterized the new imperialism.
The Industrial Revolution began in England in the 1700’s. England was the starting point of the Industrial Revolution for many reasons. It started not just because they had the right resources but they had true grit. The revolution boomed because England had the right resources, the workers came running for work and inventions were made to make the process of the work, flow a lot faster and more efficient. First, England had the right resources to help advance their society which in return let them start the Industrial Revolution.
The 17th and 18th centuries marked a period of revolutions that would be perceived as one of the most successful human advancement eras known in modern history. Forty-thousand people were left dead in the streets of Paris in the early 1800s during the French Revolution, while almost thirty-five thousand people a year perished in factories as an outcome of the Industrial Revolution. During the French Revolution, low-income civilians took to the streets causing uprisings as government-controlled prices were shifted to higher, less affordable prices. However, the revolution did have successes as it helped the nation get rid of its monarchy and created civil laws that benefited the middle and lower classes.
The Industrial Revolution completely reinvented society in the 1800s. This change would not have arisen though without the outcome of the Agricultural Revolution in which new farming methods created greater farm output that decreased death rates. One of these methods was the enclosure, the fencing off of land by rich landowners for more efficient cultivation of the fields. The enclosure movement pushed farmers off of their land, thus forcing them to move to the cities in search of work. Urbanization supplied the work force for the new factories that generated industrialization.
Before the late 1700s, Europe and America were chiefly agrarian rural societies. Most people had small workshops or worked out of their homes in what was called a cottage industry. Innovations such as the Water Frame, Spinning Jenny, and Steam Engine revolutionized the textile industry and culminated in a boost to the economy. These inventions sparked the beginning of the Industrial Revolution in England, and the new technology propelled the country's shift to a manufacturing and urban society. Eventually, the revolution spread to other countries.
War profits that were invested into the industrialization, helped the economy become stronger. However, industrialization was insanely horrible for the United States during 1865-1900, for the reasons of working conditions, corruption and the boom and bust cycle. The working conditions in the factories, that the workers faced were scandalous. These horrible working conditions resulted in the workers performing strikes because of unhealthy environments, low wages and overcrowding.
Before the Industrial Revolution, economies and governments were based on agricultural and artisan crafts. People had to travel slower because the invention of railroads didn't exist at that point, and jobs were harder to obtain as well as maintain. The Industrial revolution provided a surplus of new job opportunities, economic opportunities, faster transportation systems, faster production of items, and new power sources. Between the time of 1750-1900, the Industrial Revolution immensely prompted educational growth (docs 3, 4), economic benefits (docs 1,5,7), and the discovery of new different governing methods (docs 2,6) by states outside of Europe.
During the age of Industrial, many immigrants were used to maintain the balance of the world. Because many immigrants didn’t know English, the life of America was hard for them. Many of the immigrants were able to get jobs, but work was everything for them. Many of the immigrants were put in tenement housing, used to mass produce, and helped one person monopoly the country. Because of these things, the success of the Industrial Revolution was not worth the cost.
The Industrial Revolution, lasting from the late 1700s until the early 1900s, was possibly one of the greatest time periods in this world’s history. This time period caused people to think more and dream bigger. From these big dreams rose up inventors, entrepreneurs, and business owners. The Industrial Revolution brought many new inventions and production processes, but along with great new things come great terrible horrors. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because of the new production methods and what they produced, it was actually a negative thing for society.
The Industrial Revolution that began in Europe changed society in many ways. Some of these changes were positive while others were negative. A positive effect of the Industrial Revolution is more jobs are available. In document 1a only two people is needed to operated a machine and in document 1b more than one person is needed to use a machine.
The events that led up to the Industrial Revolution played an important role in how its events played out. One of the biggest events is the British Agricultural Revolution, which introduced machines to automate farming. Also, population growth contributed to the Industrial Revolution because of the new need for miners to collect Iron and Coal. Iron was used in machines that automated tasks, and coal fueled those machines. The Industrial Revolution lasted from the late 1700s to the late 1800s and in that century there were massive improvements in technology, agriculture, and communication.
hDuring the Industrial Revolution in England, they had plenty of natural resources, factories increased , agriculture has increased by new inventions, and textile industry. All these problems were taken place in Great Britain because of textile industry and cotton was made there. New machines were creating because the clothing there. These problems put people into debt and into child labor, the outcome became worst and worst, where they couldn't escape or had no choice but to live on what they got or afford which created rage because of these changes.
The late 19th century and early 20th century brought significant effects on U.S. society. Generally technological advancements were developing, and corporations were being established. At the beginning of this movement, America was benefitting well until these situations developed further. Overtime, Americans gave their opinions and formed unions, organizations, and even a party in these times. As a result, the Industrialization on America impacted The United States significantly.
In Document 7 it displays a lot of the air filled with bad pollution from the factories. Bad air is awful for people to be inhaling, people can get sick from breathing in the unpleasant air. In Document 10 the appearance is that of a man who is big and his cart says “CHILD LABOR EXPLOITER.” Underneath that, there is a bag with a money symbol then another money bag. The children are pulling him while looking thirsty and exhausted.
