JonBenét Ramsey was just 6 years old when she was murdered in her Boulder, Colorado home. This case is one of many that has left the whole world puzzled and wanting answers.To gain more knowledge of the case we have to start from the beginning. JonBenét Ramsey was born on August 6, 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia. Her father John Bennett Ramsey was a very wealthy businessman and her mother Patsy Ramsey ,who was a former beauty queen, won the title of Miss West Virginia in 1977. JonBenét (the youngest of 2 children)followed in her mother’s footsteps and became a 6 year-old beauty queen. After being examined the autopsy reported that she had a fractured skull, had been sexually assaulted, and had been strangled with a garrote made from one of her mother's paint brushes. The conclusion of her death was homicide, and the cause of death was asphyxia from being strangled and craniocerebral trauma. When the Boulder Police Department started to investigate they strangely did not interview the Ramseys and when they did they were interviewed separately. For four years the reports from the investigation always came up short. The Ramseys were suspects and although the Boulder District Attorney Alex Hunter didn’t file charges against them in 1999, the public still finds the Ramseys guilty. Some of their allegations were; that the ransom note was long and very specific. The paper that it was written on belonged to the Ramseys and their were also fibers found on the duct tape that was binding JonBenét. These same fibers were also found on Patsy’s clothes. After the District Attorney decided not to file charges, The Ramseys moved back to Atlanta.
