I have strong convictions that leave me to believe that a college education is imperative. On average, a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree earns a lot more in a year than a high school graduate. During the recession between three years jobs requiring some college or an associate's degree fell by a substantial amount, and jobs that are requiring a high school degree. In the article “ Is a College Education Worth It?” by Henry Punionion, he encapsulates the essences of the importance of a college education.

The tuition at Hampton University for an entire year is $23,992. It is so much more expensive to attend HU because of it being a four year college as well as the many things this university can offer compared to RBC. I would like to join HSRA because I think this program would give me some insight into the field of work I want to go into. I believe that this program would be an excellent way to develop/strengthen vital skills In any work environment such as teamwork, communication, patience, etc. During this program, I want to go deeper into my understanding of the stem field especially medicine and science. If Accepted into this program I would like to connect with real-life instructors that are in the field that I would like to go into a job I want to gain more knowledge about the field that I want to go into with real-world aspects to it well still gaining an in-depth education I want to explore other subjects and other fields I would also like to gain those important skills for my college education and for throughout life as I feel that this program would be good to strengthen and develop those types of skills I also want to explore Colleges and maybe experience what I could add to them and how they could benefit me.

1. In the article “In College and Hiding from Scary Ideas” Judith Shulevitz points out that college is important in every way of being prepared for what lies ahead in the real world. Shulevitz makes reliable statements and arguments of how college is going to prepare you for the real world. Going to college guarantees me a high chance of becoming successful if I earn good grades in the 4 years of my education. The main decision that every high school graduate is faced with is do they go to college or not, and if they do go to college which one do they go to. A college education is very important especially if one wishes to maximize their potential and earning in the future. What makes it so important to me are the three things that it allows me to do: expands my skill set, gives me a better chance at reaching my ultimate career goal, and provides me a way to support a my future family. These three objectives are what help me put my education in perspective while lighting the fire in my belly to get my assignments done. I’m not the type of person to take an opportunity like this for granted because I know how rare a chance to get a college degree is whether it’s an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree. Therefore, you must dig in with both heels and make the most of the opportunity so that one can better themselves for the present and the future.
