With my enrollment in college, I chose the major of biology because I believe this will prepare me for medical school where I hope to become a Gynecologist. Do you remember in kindergarten when the teacher would ask the class what they wanted to be when they grew up? The answers usually consisted of firemen, doctors, princesses, cowboys, or an astronaut. Then there was always the teacher’s pet who of course said they wanted to be a teacher (typical). Well college is a lot like kindergarten. Your advisor asks you,” what do you want to do with your life after college”, but this time the answers don’t come as easily.

“What do you want to do when you become older?” That is a question many of us were asked when we were extremely young. As we grew up we continued to be asked the same question whether it was by a family member or a friend. The bold among us likely conjured up occupations a far cry from the typical nine-to-five grind; only to learn later in life that job opportunities like being a veterinarian would be hard to come by. At first, I thought that question would have been a lot easier to answer, until I had to start preparing for my college applications.
(2016). Preventative care needs to be implemented for uterine fibroids, just like routine pap smears and mammograms have helped catch early stages of uterine and breast cancer, early diagnosis can help prevent invasive procedures such as hysterectomies and years of struggling with pain. I have been inspired by this interview and research to get involved concerning women’s health. Knowing that uterine fibroids can be treated and detected early is most likely only one area that the medical industry is lacking in keeping up with proper health care for women. I will start with my own doctors and question their understanding of the differences of women’s needs compared to men.

I have always wanted to help people and to help them better their lives, but I never could figure out how I could make that passion a reality, until the day I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety at age eleven. After that rough period in life, I learned how I could help other people. I could listen to them and try to help them better understand themselves. Life is much easier for a person when they have people who believe in them like a psychologist or therapist. My college plan would be to earn a bachelor, and master degree in Psychology to become a Behavior Analyst.
Nurses act as the messengers between patients and doctors. They also act as messengers for physicians when they can not be present. The nurses are the ones caring for patients, and taking all that information to the doctor, then if the doctor orders an ultrasound, the nurse then takes that information to the patient. After consulting the patient, the nurse would put in the order and ensure that the ultrasound was scheduled (and took place if within a hospital). Physicians and radiologists are diagnostic sonographers’ supervisors.

What difference does it make since none of them will return, since none of us will return.” - Charlotte Delbo Doctors are supposed to be the bearer of life. They are the healers. When sickness befalls a person doctors are called to relieve the patient’s suffering and pain.
Throughout my adolescent life, I never had an idea of what I wanted to do as a career. It seemed as if all my peers had some kind of idea but I was just stuck. If I knew one thing about what I wanted to do when I was older, it would be that I wanted to help make a difference for the better along with helping others improve their lives. When I decided that I wanted to major in criminal justice, I kept that factor in mind.
The question my mom would always ask me is,”What do you want to be when you grow up.” I really never have an answer to that kind of question. I always think do I want to be a special agent or a NFL player. But instead I chose a random career, but I did use to like the career. The career I had chosen to be when I get out school is to be a carpenter because I liked this job since I was little, and to earn a good living in my future.
