Attending College In High School

College after high school sounds like a great conception to many, but some might not think so. Going to college after high school is a great option. It can set you on the right path to success, and it can lead you to more prosperity in the future. Graduating from college can additionally lead to many benefits, such as job security, higher income, and job satisfaction. Having higher education can also lead to more knowledge, which is great because knowledge is power.

I personally was not sure about how I would pay for college but fortunately San Francisco State University allowed me other ways to have the opportunity to afford a bachelor’s degree and hopefully a Master’s degree. My initial incentive to attend college was better my education and understand of the world around me if even 5 miles away or 10,000 miles away. As a first generation student, I saw the idea of becoming more of an average worker fascinating, I aspire to be part of the 75% of successful investment, but if I am destined to be part of the 25% then I will find a way to continue to better myself with

My primary goal for attending college is to be financially fit and also use the knowledge I’ve gained to help underprivileged youth achieve their goals. I come from a poor background where I have struggled to make ends meet. I didn’t receive any scholarships to attend college after high school so I skipped it. The cost of college is a burden that I couldn’t have taken. I used the motivation of when I took time away from school surrounded by people in situations I never wanted to be in.

I had begun college the summer after I had graduated high school. I decided that it would be beneficial for me to attend a community college briefly to earn a higher grade point average. My motivation to attend college that summer was to start somewhere and improve myself. I am the first in my family to attend college, and I am glad to say so. I plan to support my family after graduation, and encourage my siblings to a higher education.

I want to get out of an apartment, and get into a house. But I want a job I’m going to be happy with, not doing manual labor every day for $10 an hour. Going to college is so important to me because it’s giving me my advancement into my future; it’s getting my foot in the door. Without a college degree, I don’t feel like I could help people the way I want to help them. Not only will it help me with my career, college is a milestone step for me.

The decision to attend college immediately after high school is one of the many challenges high schoolers face upon graduating. There are several reasons why that attending college promptly after graduation is a good idea. It is more beneficial than waiting because one will already have the drive to continue on with school rather than waiting, one will also graduate sooner which in turn will result in better job opportunities, and one is more likely to apply one’s high school knowledge. If one stops and waits to return to school, one would lose that drive to challenge that higher education.

As long as I can remember, I knew that college was going to be part of my future. That is because I always knew what my family expected out of me. College is not only important to me for the reason of making my parents proud, but for making sure that I create more out of myself, as well. With a higher education, I will have more job opportunities available, potentially be able to earn higher income, and obtain more useful life skills than somebody who does not have a college education. To begin, having a college education under my belt is important to me because I will have more opportunities for a job, after I complete my four years.

Every year thousands of high school students will receive their diplomas and become graduates. For many of us this is a major moment in young adulthood. One of the first major decisions many of us will make following that day will be whether or not to attend college. All through school it is constantly pushed upon us that college is the best way to prepare for a successful future. However, everyone does not feel that way.

Though there are many individuals who believe that college is not for everyone, attending college and getting a higher education can open the gates to many tremendous life changing opportunities such as becoming healthier, begin able to secure jobs, and earning more financially.

Overall, I wish to attend college to better all aspects of my life. I desire to maximize my potential and work ethic to become better. Being a first generation student will not be easy, for I have no one to tell me about experiences. I am very proud and honored to tell people that I am in college.

Finding motivation to attend college is easy, keeping the motivation to finish is the difficult part. I decided to enroll in college to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Finance.
