Prior to the American Revolution, history had shown cases of tyrannical governments taking advantage of the people. In most cases these tyrannical governments were shown no mercy and many times they were overthrown. For the American Colonies and the British Government this was completely different. It was different in the way that the American Colonies had shown great dislike for the lack of representation, taxes, and its plain disrespect from its mother land. The American Colonies attempted many times to catch the attention of the King in order to prevent anymore disliking for the crown and his government. These dislikes would soon grow into tensions as the British government ignored the American Colonies solutions.
When analyzing the primary documents it was clear that tensions were high in the colonies due to the unfairness they

Two of those things focused on the reasoning for the rising tensions. Which I’ve mentioned.. And the last thing focused on how the colonist planned to respond to the Stamp Act. The colonist unanimously agreed to stop supporting the British Empire commerce. The same exact commerce that aimed to tax the colonies and unconstitutionally hurt the colonies economics. So to turn the something that hurt them against their mother land, they planned to stop buying or shipping any products to the British Empire. Benjamin Franklin said it perfectly when asked how the colonist would react economically. “The goods they take from Britain are either necessaries, mere conveniences, or superfluities.” (Benjamin Franklin, Testimony Against the Stamp Act) This statement made speaks volumes as it shows that the colonist aren’t required to buy any luxurious products. They are nothing but “mere articles of fashion”. He later went on to say that the colonist would just make such clothes when needed. They can provide for themselves when
This surprised the British government. The colonists even threatened tax collects forcing them to quit their jobs or to even leave the colonies. Protests spread into the streets and groups like the Sons of Liberty encouraged the colonists to boycott British products. These boycotts soon hurt British businesses in the colonies. The British government was forced to repeal the Stamp Act.
The political relations between American colonies and
In the 1600s many emigrants from England came to settle in North America. Most of the English at the time were Christian, and one of the several reasons to explore was to spread the word of God. Most of the documents mention how the new colonists must serve their God and keep themselves holy and to not indulge in temptations that would stray them from their original goals. However, by the 1700s the distinct group that settled in the New England region was split into two groups. The split of the two groups came from gold diggers, the temptation of gold overweight their original goal, thus causing the group to split into two groups, the Christians and the Gold Diggers.
When looking at the social and political changes that took place during the early American colonies you can see a steady progression towards ideologies that would lead to the Revolution. When you have different levels of government being put in place by the states depending upon their needs, where rural areas had different court systems than more urban areas, you see a level of independence for governance that the colonists began to see the benefit of having, separate from the rule of the Crown. To counter this increase in independence. the Crown implemented ever changing political positions that could be assigned to those who were loyal to the Crown and the social hierarchy that was prevalent in Britain at the time. These actions of corruption
American Revolution began in 1775. There were lots of events, which led to the America revolution. Till 1763, everything was going in favor of England. Majority of the Americas were in favor of British rule, and they were big supporter. They use to treat parliament and queen of England with full respect.
The relationship between Britain and its American colonies was civil at first but began to strain in the mid-1700’s. In the beginning, Britain ruled colonies with little involvement because they were busy dealing with the French and Indian War among other things. As a result of this, the colonies were typically left in charge of themselves with little interference from British authorities. After years of being left alone, the colonists had developed a feeling of freedom and independence. When the war ended there was a significant change in the relations between England and the colonies.
The American colonies established their resistance to the British royal crown, as the ministers of King George III began to impose new taxes trying to reduce debt that incurred during the French and Indian War, aka the Seven Years War (1754-1763). The American
If you are completely clueless to the long story made short of the American Revolution, let me fill in the blanks. Basically, between 1765 and 1783 the original 13 colonies denied the British monarchy. It is between those 18 years that they fought back in many different ways against the British to win our independence. The thirteen colonies were getting heavily taxed by British monarchy without any representation.
The Colonist did not get any say on anything political, only Parliament decided, after the Colonist were taxed on the Stamp act, Parliament went for another tax, "The Stamp Act taught the British that the colonists would resisted internal taxes---those paid inside the colonies. As a result, in 1767 Parliament passed the Townshend Acts to tax imported goods, such as glass , tea, and paper. The tax was paid when the goods arrived--before they were brought inside the colonies." ( Discovering Our Past A history of the United States -PG-115) Basically stating that because of this Stamp Act that taxed practically everything that was made out of paper, they could easily get them to still pay that paper tax, and a couple of others, and not just from importing but from things already inside that were paid were now taxed as well, and guess what?
American discontent with British rule saw its beginnings in the aftermath of the French And Indian War. The British levied higher taxes on the colonies
This Act required Taxed Stamps to be placed on printed materials. These stamps had to be purchased using the British sterling coin, which was not prevalent in the colonies. Colonist saw the pitfalls of this act and began to seek equal liberty with British Parliament. Not yet seeking independence, the colonist wanted British leaders to rethink how government worked. Opposition continued to rise as these ideals were rejected by Royal Rule.
The stamp act taxed even the littlest of things such as newspapers, documents, licenses, molasses and even playing cards. It angered the colonists, so they responded with violence.
The political turmoil of the late 1600s can be seen in form of the leaders of the time granting friends cheap distant lands and the king's attempt to channel colonial trade coupled with the strengthening of royal authorities over colonial governments. The frequent monetary and political concerns which were prompted by King Phillip's War among the Native Americans and the colonists can define the relationship between England and the colonies. The monarchy of the time took strides to gain more control over colonial governments and more strictly tried to harness the New England colonies to that of the English empire. In 1636 and 1637 a series of battles took place in which the colonists massacred hundreds of Pequot Indians. In the years following New Englanders and the Wampanoags can be seen as relatively peaceful with one another although it is noted that the New Englanders gradually intruded upon the Indian's land.
The colonists refused to submit to a king that was only interested in their money, causing the colonists to become irate with the British once more. Since Great Britain thought that it was superior to the colonies, Great Britain did not give colonists the opportunity to speak up for what they wanted, which lead the colonists to rebel. The arrogance of Great Britain led to the rebellion of the colonists, which sparked the Revolutionary War through social, economic, and political actions. Furthermore, Great Britain caused a tremendous amount of irritation to develop inside of the colonists. The Revolutionary War showed that it is a necessity for Americans to have their opinions voiced.
The colonists were mistreated from the start the British forced them to pay their war debts basically and controlled them harshly this caused the colonists to rise up and take back power. These events eventually led to the American Revolution and colonists
