The Atrocities of the American Industrial Revolution
The industrial revolution changed not only the landscape of the united states but the landscape of the world. The united states took from the British who had already started their rise in industrialization. This was when the united states moved from being an agricultural country to an industrialized one. The first person to start an industrial mill was Samuel Slater. He started a journey that would sculpt the united states for the rest of history, both positively and negatively. The Industrial Revolution was the most beneficial revolution financially but was the most dreadful revolution socially in the history of the world.
There is a negative past to the industrial revolution. It sounds like the best thing ever to happen, but with the uprising of

The question then became do the pros outweigh the cons. I would argue that the pros don't outweigh the cons. Although it brought so much to the American economy and brought wealth to so many people; it also dismantled and took the lives of many. A pro is that more people came to the cities and left the rural areas, but then the country was left with few farmers. There then become an overpopulation of cities and diseases spread like wildfires. The revolution also brought the beginning of, what is now, global warming. According to Britannica, “ atmospheric carbon dioxide, a primary driver of global warming, existed in concentrations of 275 to 290 parts per million by volume (ppmv) before 1750 and increased to more than 400 ppmv by 2017” (Rafferty). This process was started by the industrial revolution and it has only sped up since then. The industrial revolution shaped the country we know today, and it brought more money to the people of America but it also hurt many Americans for years to
The American Revolution is known as the political conflict that occurred towards the end of the eighteenth century when the thirteen colonies in America united to obtain freedom from the mother country, Great Britain. This revolution was fought between the strong British military and scrappy American farmers who experienced no training. Despite the fact that the Americans faced several disadvantages, they were able to win because they had assistance from the French, and they had knowledge of the land where the revolution transpired. Without the aid of the French, the colonies would have not had the capacity of defeating the British military. France provided motivation to vanquish Great Britain.
Exam 2 American Revolution Essay The American Revolution affected every corner of society in both the American colonies and the rest of the English Empire. The Americans, who now saw themselves as independent, sought to rebel against what they perceived to be the unfair and unjust rule of an empire across the ocean. They wanted to be free of British rule and exempt from paying taxes to the British empire.
The Voice of Con Critics I think the Patriots were absolutely wrong for their rebellion on Britain. The taxes placed on goods were to help the British in their times of war, and were not unreasonable or high in any manner. Even if there was no representation in the British Parliament, there was no such need to start a war to try to resolve such things, rather work with Britain and declare what you want to happen rather than force armed action. Why would you try to push away our protection and source of trade?
Following the War of 1812 and the Era of Good Feelings, an overwhelming feeling of new beginnings, reform, and innovation signaled a new beginning in American History. In this new era, the Market Revolution or the 1st Industrial Revolution brought forth new changes in industry including steam powered engines as well as a boom in the textile industry and a development of simple machines needed to work the new tasks. However, due to bigger issues on hand including the inhumane use of slaves to harvest the cotton needed for the northern manufacturers and new work laws and uprisings with women laborers, the first Industrial Revolution was not as strong and powerful in retrospect. However, after the Civil War ended new and improved innovations, industries, and
In the mid-1700s, industrialization gave birth and made Europe grow quicker than it ever had before. With the increase in industrialization and technology, life expectancy and quality of life are expected to go up. The industrial revolution assisted America with expanding its population and creating groundbreaking technological advancements such as coal, the internal-combustion engine, and oil, which allowed for steam engines, automobiles, and lighting. This eventually led to an increase in life and made things easier but with these came poor factory conditions and harsh labor.
The American Industrialization was in the late 1800’s making many things to improve the economy. The American Industrialization was caused by multiple factors, some of the factors included a growing population, a willing work force, high tariffs, among many more. The Industrial Revolution took place during the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s and was considered to be the “New Industrial.” Many things were brought to the economy at the time due to this occurring; some in which being machinery, technology, production of goods, and even performance. The economy was not the only thing greatly affected by this revolution but the farmers, the working-class, and the middle-class were also affected to a deep extent.
The Industrial Revolution created to change that ruined people's lives. They worried about financing, getting rid of jobs, and overworking the workers, those are all certain ways people were affected by the industry
Although the United States of America has progressed because of this revolution, it also affected many people in the most negative way possible. These three reasons have affected families’ ancestors for centuries, and America. While considering there were many helpful, positive effects to industrialization, sadly, in the end, the negative reasons out-weighs the positive. With that, while some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because of the advancements in technology, it was actually a negative thing for society.
The Industrial Revolution: Successes and Dangers The Industrial revolution was a period of great success but it came with danger. This time of invention and breakthrough was important in forming what America is today. The Industrial Revolution brought great change and it made many people's lives easier. This success did lead to the downfall as many citizens lost their jobs.
The Industrial Revolution, lasting from the late 1700s until the early 1900s, was possibly one of the greatest time periods in this world’s history. This time period caused people to think more and dream bigger. From these big dreams rose up inventors, entrepreneurs, and business owners. The Industrial Revolution brought many new inventions and production processes, but along with great new things come great terrible horrors. The Industrial Revolution, which started in Great Britain in the late 17th century and continued through the 19th century, had both positive and negative effects on society. On the positive side, it led to increased productivity, economic growth, and technological advancements that revolutionized transportation and communication. Although industrialization was beneficial to some people, it still created some problems in the United States, including strikes made by workers. The industrialization era between 1865 to 1914 impacted workers greatly with their work conditions and their wages, along
A major debate among Historians is if the Industrial Revolution was helpful or harmful. The industrial revolution created a big change in the society of America. It was an age of innovation and creativeness for the inventors of the world. It was an age of sorrow and despair for the workers of the world.
The Industrial Revolution was a major change in the nature of production in which machines replaced tools and steam and other energy sources replaced human or animal power. The Industrial Revolution began in England in the middle 1700s. During the Industrial Revolution, workers became more productive, items were manufactured, prices dropped, making hard to make items available to the working and middle class and not only the wealthy. Life generally improved, but the Industrial Revolution was also harmful. Pollution increased, working conditions were harmful, and capitalists employed women and young children, making them work long hours for low wages.
