The career that fascinates me and what I plan to be when Im older, is a Dental Hygienist. A dental hygienist is a stressful job, but it helps a lot of people. You are helping people get better teeth and even look better, because when people have straight pretty teeth, they seem to have an upgrade in their looks. I haven’t always wanted to be a dental hygienist, I had many other career choices. But, something about making people smile when I’m the reason they look good doing it makes me happy.

Veterinarian technicians make around 28k-57k per year. Job growth is 19 %. Vet tech is very high in demand right now and it looks like it's not going to go down anytime soon. That?s why it is good to go into this field at this point in time. Why is this career important to society?

Trying to decide what career or job choice you want for your future is a tough decision to make. One day you might want to become a nurse, and the next day, you will want to become a veterinary technician. This is the situation that I went through in the past year, and all I can say is that going to school to become a veterinary technician was the best decision I have ever made regarding my future. I am excited and more ambitious toward my career than I ever have been, and I’m here to tell you why becoming a veterinary technician is an amazing choice to make!

MRI Technicians need to be in good health and require stamina. MRI Techs may need to assist people who can’t do any physical activity. Such as moving people from wheel chairs, gurneys, and lifting onto the scanner table. They may also need to position body parts or any piece of medical equipment. These professionals spend May hours on their feet each and every shift.

I want to become a Veterinary Tech because I love animals and I love taking care of them. I’m a people person and I enjoy working with the public. Recently, I moved into a neighborhood with a lot of elderly neighbors; I started helping them take care of their dogs. I would get up in the morning and walk their dogs before I left for school.

A veterinarian technician assists veterinarians with duties such as surgery and carrying out the orders they have prescribed. There are many areas available to a veterinarian technician such as working in research laboratories, zoo research as well as in wildlife.

The motivation, passion, and the internal will to want to succeed in life has always dwelled within me, so ultimately, all I needed was to find what interest me in life. In the beginning, I found myself staring down the road of becoming a teacher or dental hygienist. At first the idea of becoming a teacher seemed like a prominent, and fulfilling job. I get to convey knowledge to groups of young individuals, I also get to work in a setting with other mature adults who share my passion, and I have the opportunity to work with children; but, ultimately, there was just one main component missing for me, and that was the hands-on aspect. I told myself that I wanted to be involved in a career that is very hands-on.

As for verbal communication, a veterinary technician should be excellent both at speaking and listening. The job specifics include answering around a hundred of questions a day. Specifically, a veterinary technician should give numerous answers to clients, as well as give directions regarding pet care. Depending on the type of veterinarian, this can range from household pets to exotic or endangered species. This is something I’ve imagined working towards since I was able to comprehend what a career was, and I’ve only gotten more determined.

When one thinks of a veterinarian, most associate this job title with treating dogs, cats, horses, cows, and other farm and companion animals. However, a relatively small field not known by the general population is that of marine veterinary medicine. If one has a passion for the water and a desire to help the creatures in it, marine veterinary medicine just may be the perfect career. Marine veterinarians are responsible for “conducting basic exams and evaluations, giving vaccinations, taking samples of blood and other bodily fluids, prescribing and distributing medication, evaluating behaviour, performing surgical procedures, and taking x-rays and sonograms” (Kramer “Life of an Aquatic Veterinarian”).

Although I going to strive to become an Equine dentist, sometimes things get in the way of life and you need to re-route yourself. If life just so happens to get in my way and interfere with me becoming an Equine dentist i have two backup careers. My first one is being a Horse breeder, and my second one is being a Vet tech. I chose theses two careers as my backup plan because most of the college prerequisites and other course work are the same, and because it still has my passion in it, animals. The first career I am going to talk about is Vet tech.

When asked what they want to be when they grow up, most children say astronaut, doctor, president, or veterinarian. I was one of those kids that replied “a veterinarian” when asked by others. Usually, when one gets older, that career goal changes into something different, but not for me. I did not know it then, but my dream of being a veterinarian would stick with me throughout my life, and influence the choices I make in order to reach that long-term goal. I come from a family that expresses an interminable love for animals.
