When asked what they want to be when they grow up, most children say astronaut, doctor, president, or veterinarian. I was one of those kids that replied “a veterinarian” when asked by others. Usually, when one gets older, that career goal changes into something different, but not for me. I did not know it then, but my dream of being a veterinarian would stick with me throughout my life, and influence the choices I make in order to reach that long-term goal.
I come from a family that expresses an interminable love for animals. During her childhood, my mother had pets that varied from the typical dog and cat to ferrets, rabbits, frogs, and birds. She was the type of child that would find an animal on the street or in the woods, and bring it back home to keep as a pet, and her parents, my grandparents, even encouraged her to do so. I had the same behavior when I was a child; I, too, had frogs, dogs,

I intend on being more than a dog and cat veterinarian; I desire to help those animals, along with others, such as those found on farms, in zoos, or even in wildlife sanctuaries. I also want to do more than just serve animals; I want to change the veterinary medicine field by creating new and more effective medicines and curing diseases and disorders that are uncured in today’s world. Once I become very successful and financially stable, I would like to help up and coming veterinarians like myself. I want to create my own non-profit organization dedicating to helping those ambitious and creative kids support their dreams financially, and obtain mentors and job shadowing opportunities to encourage them and properly prepare them for their future careers. By doing these things, I would change the lives of both animals and humans; animals, by making state of the art changes and discoveries, and humans, by supplementing their already solid passion in veterinary
I’m Melanie Lint from Johnstown, Pennsylvania and I’m writing to you because I am interested in playing softball at Virginia Tech. Not only am I interested in your excellent softball team, I am also interested in your advanced Pre-Veterinary program. While viewing your college page and softball stats, I’ve noticed that one of your pitchers will have graduated by my graduating year, and the other will be a senior. You built the program up so much since you got hired in 1995 and I would love to be part of it.

There 's always the one question in life that gets asked, “What do you want to do when you grow up?” Even when students or adults are all grown up they still ask that question. The thing is, they will always question themselves, they will question themselves until they believe they accomplished their goals. Furthermore, finding a college without a certain career in mind is difficult. Even if someone does have their mind set on a career it’s still challenging, because they don 't know if that college is best for them.
Introduction: For my Credit for Life simulation I chose to be a physician assistant for my profession. I chose this because it had a high paying salary even after taxes, and being a physician assistant meant I spent less time in school than being a doctor meaning I was most likely in less student debt. According to US News and World Report, being a physician assistant was ranked as the third best overall job and the second best job in healthcare for 2022. This is because of median salary, long-term demand, stress levels, and work-life balance.
I’m looking forward to extend my love for animals to help others with their animal medical needs. My career choice of becoming a Veterinary Technician is to promote good animal health. I want to work in a career which makes me fulfilled professionally and also where there is an opportunity for advancement. This profession will give me the opportunity to provide services to the community. I understand the deep feelings that pet owners have for their pets, therefore I want to do my best to provide good medical care for their pets and help
As the poet Robert Frost once exclaimed “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—took the path less traveled” I too encountered the fork in the road. In fact, not only did the road diverge, it splintered and fragmented into a mad mess of tiny unmarked trails in a glowing enchanted forest. Japan Airlines flight 291: After graduating from the University of Minnesota, I packed my bags and set out for adventure. With the Robert Frost poem resonating in the back of my mind and a scene from the movie Dead Poet’s Society, “Carpe Diem: seize the day” in my head, I packed my bags and bought a one-way ticket to Narita Japan. I travelled across Asia and through Vietnam and into Thailand.
I want to become a Medical Assistant because I enjoy helping others, and making them feel better. Medical Assistant is not just a career for me, it’s a goal that I will achieve with much pride and honor, and prove wrong those people who keep telling me that I’m not going to make it. I’m not really good in science, but I’m going to push myself to try hard to achieve my goal. Don’t ever let anyone label you, be your own kind of person and make the “impossible” possible. I know that it’s not going to be easy because of all the things you have to learn and memorize to become a Medical Assistant.

I am a firm believer that in order to be happy and successful, you need to have a job that you love to do. This ideology is what motivated me to want to become a nurse practitioner and help the people in my community. Attending California State University, Los Angeles is allowing me to pursue my academic goal of getting into the nursing program. I aspire to get my bachelors of science in nursing to be able to become a registered nurse. After gaining experience as a registered nurse, I will pursue a master of science in nursing to become a nurse practitioner.
The motivation, passion, and the internal will to want to succeed in life has always dwelled within me, so ultimately, all I needed was to find what interest me in life. In the beginning, I found myself staring down the road of becoming a teacher or dental hygienist. At first the idea of becoming a teacher seemed like a prominent, and fulfilling job. I get to convey knowledge to groups of young individuals, I also get to work in a setting with other mature adults who share my passion, and I have the opportunity to work with children; but, ultimately, there was just one main component missing for me, and that was the hands-on aspect. I told myself that I wanted to be involved in a career that is very hands-on.
Although many people have jobs as morticians this would be a job I would not enjoy. Morticians responsibilities are to prepare dead bodies for burial or cremation. I couldn't tolerate being around the dead for hours, because it's so melancholy. I would not want to do any of the job-related tasks associated with this job. Being around death is depressing, because it's associated with so much grief and pain.
Having them as household pets is a very rewarding and unique
When I graduate from high school I'd like to be a surgeon. I want to be a surgeon because it seems like a cool and interesting job. I think it would be an amazing experience to hold a human heart. I first saw this job and got really interested in it because of a T.V. show, Greys Anatomy. This career is important because it saves lives.
