Dr. Crawford had a 15-year career at University of London as an observational astronomer specializing in studies of the Interstellar Medium. In 2003, he switched his research interests to the planetary science. Dr. Ian A. Crawford has Bachelor of Science degree in Astronomy at University College London, Master of Science degree in Geophysics and Planetary Physics at University of Newcastle, Ph.D. in Astrophysics at University College London. In terms of credibility of the source, Dr. Crawford is the author of over 130 peer-reviewed research papers in the areas of planetary science, space exploration, astronomy and astrobiology. This article presents the economic benefits that can be brought by the space exploration such as space tourism, extraction of resources on the Moon and asteroids. Author of this paper argues that utilization of extraterrestrial resources will significantly reduce the costs for space missions, because the studies prove that the key elements which are used for the rocket fuel can be found on the asteroids. Also, humanity can benefit from the space-based economy. Mining of the asteroids and the planets in the Solar System will solve the problem of scarcity of resources on Earth. Florida plays a big role when coming to the topic of space exploration and discoveries. In Florida, there is the port of Cape Canaveral where there is the NASA base and Kennedy Space Center which factors into and leads to many big discoveries, successful rocket launches, etc. Because of this center, it changes the ways of Floridians through economics, culture, growth, and the life of the citizens here and in this essay, we will learn about all these factors on Floridians, and the country. Why do you think NASA should be unfunded? I think they NASA should be funded because they have an excellent crew and the projects made wouldn’t have happened without NASA. First, they’ve gotten a man on the moon! There’s rovers on Mars now discovering if people can live on there in the next couple of decades. They’ve sent a voyager to Jupiter to discover the patterns of the planet.
Thus far NASA had primarily focused on taking baby steps to achieve what they had. While these achievement seem like incredible strides in our eyes, the amount of what remains in the universe to discover is limitless. Although in an ideal world we would have the resources necessary to continue growing at the same rate as during the Space Race, the current high costs of technology had created a roadblock in space travel. Roger D. Launius claims that NASA’s large and ambitious programs failed due to technological challenges and budgetary pressures. Therefore, the question arises; do the benefits outweigh the costs?
What is new in the space travel world? Two article excerpts by author Cameron Keady “A Success in Space” and “America’s New Spacecraft” describe two space crafts with very different missions. The purpose of this essay is to explain the purpose of each mission and then argue which mission was the more successful. According to NASA, space exploration resulted in numerous technological advancements and scientific strides and discoveries. The International Space Exploration Coordination Group (ISECG) highlights the positive outcomes of space exploration efforts, including advancements in satellite technology, telecommunications, weather forecasting, and public security. This notion is corroborated by a quote by NASA which implies that, "Space exploration has resulted in numerous technological spin offs and advancements that have benefited society" (NASA). The Space Race and the development of the microprocessor and the internet are examples of how these advancements have changed the way we live our lives and how we interact with the world around us. The achievements made during this period continue to shape our present and will continue to shape our future. The advancements in space travel and information technology during the period of 1945-1989 have also had a significant impact on the field of medicine and healthcare. The development of satellites, remote sensing, and telemedicine have made it possible to provide healthcare services in remote and underserved areas.

Space has helped hone the skills of scientist. By using satellite technology for space, they were able to use the same concept for Earth. Even with all the benefits of space, its major down falls are cost, risks, and low chances of reward for their efforts. Many space explorations cost fortunes with little to come out of it, making it almost seem not worth it. The risk is another key factor, with little known about the majority of space, many outliers can appear out of nowhere and can cause death to anyone that happens to be working up there.

When nations work together on space missions, this enlarges international cooperation into space. It gives interests and forges relationships that help make peace between nations.
Space exploration has long been a debated topic. From the days where there was controversy between whether the universe revolved around the Earth, because god made humans special, to whether Copernicus’s idea that the Earth and the other planets of the solar system revolve around the sun was true. Then there was the space race where there was a dilemma based on what was ethical to be produced and sent to space (such as weaponry during the cold war). The more contemporary problem involves the exploration of space and the danger that space debris poses. We must accept however that space is our back-up plan if we were to exploit the Earth to such an extent that we could no longer survive here.
What does make human mission to Mars beneficial? NASA unveiled their scheme of manned expedition to Mars by 2030, and it added fuel to the controversy of the question: Should humans explore to Mars instead of rovers or not. It goes without saying that manned expedition is more risky and needs billions of money. However, human exploration to the Red planet excels in its several benefits. Therefore, this essay will demonstrate three aspects of positive result of manned expedition; social changes, capability of human skills and step toward human settlement on Mars.
