JonBenét Ramsey was just six years old when she was beaten and strangled in her family's Colorado home. More than two centuries later, her killer remains a mystery. Many mistakes were made during this case, and many suspects that weren’t investigated as much as they were supposed to led this case to go in mystery of the real guilty one amongst them. Much evidence could’ve helped, and it was right under their noses about who killed JonBenet Ramsey on Christmas night. Many mistakes were made during this case; however, they were found out after the case was coming to a closing. One mistake that was made was the only JonBenet’s room was the only room that was cornered off, so Family and Friends roamed the area as they pleased during investigation …show more content…
John and Patsy Ramsey were the first suspects dealing with their daughter’s case. Family and friends would always observe the two and found it suspicious how they would treat their daughter different from their son. Patsy would always treat her daughter very different from their son burke, it was known that she had got recently made at JonBenet for wetting her bed, this could’ve caused very bad triggering for her which could’ve led to the mysterious mystery of JonBenet and may have left her shocked after she realized what happens. Next would be Burke Ramsey her own brother. It was known by a friend that Burke had once hit JonBenet on the head with a baseball bat because she made him upset which caused a scar on her face, and it wasn’t his first time hurting JonBenet. Burke was known to be hiding in his room the day they found JonBenet because he already knew what he had done, and he feared getting caught. This next one may be what everyone thinks but I don’t think it just a random intruder. This intruder knew the specific amount of the father’s Christmas bonus. I possibly think that the intruder was paid to come kill the 6-year-old. The whole case is very suspicious and odd. Somebody’s hiding something about what happened to JonBenet Ramsey. Patsy Ramsey, the mother of JonBenet and Burke Ramsey was known for her daughter wanting to follow in her footsteps. What could of happen if …show more content…
Burke Ramsey the brother of JonBenet Ramsey killed her, and the mother Patsy Ramsey covered it up, but the Police were too blind to see the clues that they were giving whole being interrogated. If you truly look at how they were during the whole case, it could’ve let out straight to the killer. On the night back from the party, JonBenet could have gone downstairs and stole a piece of Burke's pineapple. The mother never new how JonBenet received pineapple, because she never gave her some after. Her claim was that she took them straight to bed, so how did the pineapple get into her stomach if only her brother had pineapple? This could’ve triggered him, which led him to getting upset exposing his anger out on JonBenet. There are many beliefs that their mother had a part in the murder, as if she staged it to make it seem like a kidnapping, but failed cleaning up evidence. Investigators believe that the written ransom came from objects inside the home, but with time and effect, this could’ve been planned for months, possibly pre-written, but why? Could a family member do that to their own child? Or could it have been because someone was paid to do it for
New DNA could lead to more clues in the investigation, Biography stated this, “In July 2008, new "touch DNA" technology seemed to exonerate all members of JonBenét’s family in the 1996 killing,” ("JonBenét Ramsey"). With the new technology, we have today DNA can be taken and tested in a couple days of a crime, it is also very reliable. Not to mention all the pressure put on the parents of the family, finding DNA other than their families was a relief. The DNA found led police away from the family, CNN Library stated,“Early suspicion fell on her parents, but they were exonerated after DNA at the scene was found to belong to a male unrelated to the Ramsey family,” ("JonBenet Ramsey"). Since the DNA did not match to any of the family members, they now have to find who actually committed the crime.
JonBenét Ramsey: Unsolved Murder After looking over all of the evidence in the JonBenét Ramsey murder case it is clear to me that the Ramsey family murdered JonBenét. I believe that the brother Burke Ramsey actually killed JonBenét but Patsey and John conducted the covered up. Out of all the suspects that were interrogated he was the only one that stood out to me. Burke was the only person that could of done it.
Many had suspected that the Ramsey family had some involvement in the demise of JonBenét. However, according to a quote by crimemuseum.org “In 2008, the Boulder District Attorney’s office announced that due to recent developments in DNA technology, the Ramsey family is-no longer considered to be involved in the murder of JonBenét Ramsey(Crime Museum, LLC).” With no new leads or positive hits on DNA samples, the JonBenét Ramsey case has gone
JonBenét Ramsey, a six-year-old beauty queen daughter of Patsy Ramsey and John Ramsey found murdered in her home on December 26, 1998. This murder has yet to be solved, and as the years go by, the case seems to get colder and colder. As a result, there have been many conspiracy theories in this case. Many people have started to believe that an intruder murdered her, but what if it was someone in the house? Maybe someone very familiar with this home.
While there are many theories on who killed JonBenet Ramsey, ultimately the evidence points to someone in the family being JonBenet’s killer, including Burke Ramsey due to his history of being violent, Patsy Ramsey because of the evidence pointing to her, and there is no evidence of a
The murder of JonBenet Ramsey was discovered following the discovery of a ransom letter found by her mother Patsy Ramsey on December 26, 1996 (Saferstein, 2015). There were numerous mistakes made by the Boulder Colorado Police Department. The house was not secured, moreover, not preserved as a crime scene. The ransom letter alone should have prompted the law enforcement officers on scene to secure the house to preserve any evidence. The letter was found at the foot of the stairs within the residence indicating an intruder had in fact entered the Ramsey residence.
The only people that knew about that room were the Ramsey family. Along with this, John Ramsey, the father, was the one to find the body, right after the police searched the house for hours. The police never knew this room existed until after John found the body. Burke was also said to have a big history of anger issues. More examination led to finding stun gun marks and Burke’s DNA on JonBenet’s body.
Finding JonBenet like this. John Ramsey immediately ripped the tape from JonBenets mouth and carried her upstairs, this disturbed the crime scene which was horrific for the case, as the body/victim was the main evidence. This resulted in Patsy and John Ramsey being investigators' main suspects. All in all, with distinct knowledge of the note and relationships/hardships in the family, makes JonBenet family the more plausible theory for who murdered
Nobody knows exactly what is true and what is not. In 2006 John Mark Karr was arrested after confessing to the murder of Ramsey, however, fingerprints did not match samples that were found. The police that discovered the body of Ramsey later on spoke that the parents of the victim were suspicious and didn't seem to react how you would think. This led to a family theory that Patsy Ramsey, mother of the little girl, accidentally killed JonBenet in a fit of rage after a bed-wetting
Specifically, many people believe Burke Ramsey was responsible for the murder of JonBenet and the Ramsey parents covered it up. This essay will highlight the evidence behind their alleged involvement. To understand how the Ramseys allegedly killed JonBenet, it's important to know what happened to her and the hours leading up to her disappearance. On the morning of December 25, 1996, Mrs. Ramsey found a ransom note demanding $118,000 for the return of her daughter.
Because there were only 4 family members in the house minus a dead daughter the only ones left were John Ramsey the father, Patsy Ramsey, who is her mother and JonBenet’s brother Burke Ramsey. Here is the interesting part many people do not comprehend when John Ramsey discovered his daughter's body why is it that he went downstairs and automatically knew she was there?
The JonBenét Ramsey case is an unsolved murder case of a six year old beauty queen that occurred in Boulder Colorado in 1986. Several errors were made by law enforcement in the initial hours of the investigation. The district attorney eventually convened a grand jury to investigate the case. On December 26, 1996, at approximately 5:00 AM, a mystery stirred at the Ramsey residence in Boulder Colorado. A after a christmas party the following night, JonBenét Ramsey’s mother, Patsy Ramsey got up early in the morning to find a ransom note addressed to her husband John Ramsey.
John Ramsey never liked the fact that she got entered into beauty pageants. JonBenet’s body, found with signs that show sexual assault, shows the possibility that her father took her into the basement, sexually assaulted her, and then killed her. Then he’d have left the ransom note to draw attention away from. Most of the evidence points directly to him for only the family had known they had a basement where JonBenet died. John Ramsey told the cops that he didn’t hear anything that night.
One of very first mistakes the Department made was that they did not search the house very thoroughly, nor did put the house on secure the home and the evidence within the home after the first arrived on the sense. The Police department should have made sure that nobody enter the home, nor left the Ramsey home, before they had the opportunity to search it, and question everyone in the home at the time of the event. With no doubt if the police would have searched the house when they first arrived on the sense, they would have found JonBenet in the cellar of the basement in the Ramsey home wrapped in a blanket. Allowing John Ramsey and a close friend to search the house for missing house hold items, and that allowed him to find his deceased daughter. The Bounder Police Department also allowed family and friends to enter the home,
Even though the origin of the DNA does not match the Ramseys, it cannot clear them. For another example, Burke Ramsey was another suspect leading the investigation away from the Ramseys given the evidence of pineapple found in JonBenet’s digestive system along with the bowl of pineapple found in the kitchen with Burke’s fingerprints on it, but it could not have been Burke due to the fact he did not write the ransom note. Handwriting tests show that “both John and Burke were cleared of all suspicion of writing the ransom note” (Penman 2017). This checks off Burke. All in all, John and Patsy are still the most likely murderers even though there is evidence that supposedly cleared
