After presenting the mid morning radio show. I am now going to evaluate my work including all aspects like the proposal, research, production, feedback and all of the strengths & weaknesses I had as a presenter.
For my primary research I conducted a questionnaire. This was effective because it helped me find out that a radio show themed around gaming could be successful. I came to this conclusion because a lot of people were interested in my idea for this show. Also through secondary research I increased my knowledge of how to deliver a successful piece of news and a good quality review, this proved to be effective in my radio show as it increased its quality. My idea for gaming radio show had several advantages, such as the fact that a lot

This made my preparation successful as it helped prepare me for the different things I was going to talk about in my show. The pre-production was very helpful. This included things like the que sheet and running order. These two were particularly helpful as it helped give me a better understanding of the final, overall shows structure so I knew what individual topics went where, when to play things like jingles and music. This was very helpful and vital to the shows overall …show more content…
Some of the time I could have talked with some more confidence. I often sounded a little nervous or quiet. This is one of my weaknesses. However one thing that I did doo well was mostly keeping the same volume, although like I just stated I was sometimes a bit quiet, it never sounded like I was to close to the microphone, or too far away and there was never a time I talked too loudly. I could have changed the tone of my voice though. Although I did try to change it some of the time, after listening back I think I sounded too bland too often so this is one thing I would improve on next time. Another strength was that Steffan and me could keep talking and there was no dead

On December 7, the Monticello High School mixed and concert choirs presented a choral program called “An Olde Tyme Radio Choral Concert” in the high school auditorium. It was directed by Mr. Brett Kniess, and Janice Vetter was the pianist. The songs were chosen to put the audience in the holiday spirit, and in my opinion, it accomplished this goal. The first five songs were sung by a mixed choir of freshman and sophomores.
I know I need to spent time to prepare myself, I will have to make sure my presentation is at the same level of my
Tam Nguyen Art 104 Reading 4 Where Am I? For the reading four, we listen to the Radiolab, and it describes the connect between brain and body and how brain keep track of the body. I believe this is an interest topic because I have heard a lot people describes about this topic, brain and body communication. The purpose of my speech was to inform the audience about the four basic chords on the ukulele: the C, Am, F, and the G chords. In my speech, I taught the correct finger placement as well as good tips to getting the best sound out of the instrument. Altogether, I presented the main material as the most important pieces in the speech. The introduction to my speech began with a question.
Through these in depth interviews it’ll give a better grasp which will seek individual experiences and learn about their perspectives on the issues given to them. Interview
Thirdly, keep note of your facial expressions, as well as controlling any fidgeting. This could lead to a disconnection between what you are verbally saying and non-verbally portraying. If Nixon was properly prepared for the debate, he would have certainly had a better chance of winning the presidential election as being a productive, and positive non-verbal and verbal communicator can assist in achieving ones
Once lost I begin to lose interest and eventually drift off. That wasn’t the case in Finley’s speech her structure was perfect she explain the point she was trying to get across and gave examples to further back it up and that is important when giving a speech. My favorite thing about her speech by far is how she humanize it. She made me connect to and truly understand where she was coming from and the points she wanted to make.
We split the actual presentation of how to interview among four members. The four parts of the presentation included finding experts, finding non-experts, conducting an interview and email interviews. The fifth member was in charge of creating and conducting the in class activity that followed the presentation. When this process concluded, I was given the role of delivering how to do an interview over email. Most of the communication for the project occurred over the Groupme app.
Being confident shows your audience you are comfortable talking about your topic and that you are well informed on what you are specking of. Another thing that I can improve on is relaxing, for example, to not be so nervous. If I can think two steps ahead before I speak it would prepare me for what I am about to say which will allow my words to flow out smoothly and correctly. I plan on improving these skills by practicing more speeches in front of people and doing some relaxation exercises before my speech. I believe by implementing more speeches and doing some of the exercises, it will have me more relaxed, keep my mind focused and boost up my confidence so that I may present my speech flawlessly for an A plus grade.
I will practice more to gain confidence before giving any speech. It will help me to deliver any speech with more confidence and less stress. Practicing in front of the mirror is one of the ways that helps me to reduce my stress level. Thus, I will remember to look at the audience while speaking instead of looking down in the notes.

The image of a confused refugee child in Aleppo, Syria- covered in dirt and blood while he waits in an ambulance to be treated- globally, this image has come to represent a metaphor of the turmoil and struggle of destruction in the Middle East. As constructed by the mainstream media, this image, taken from a video in National Public Radio (NPR), was used as a key influencer in news outlets to show what war was doing overseas in countries such as Syria. However, the cultural message conveyed by this image, as constructed by the mainstream media, is as “myth” (Barthes 3); The construction of this image, while simple at first glace, portrays what theorist Ronald Barthes describes as “modern mythologies” that in turn create a series of “collective
I also used my visual aid to help me with speaking points. If I was ever stuck I could always look back to regain my train of thought, these worked similar to notecards. My delivery had its highlights and its lowlights. My volume was good and I kept eye contact for a majority of the speech, only slipping up as a transitioned between notecards. However, I could hear my voice shake throughout the project as well.
Like every other concert, the band is well practice, they are use to the tempo, and they make mistakes. Some sections I feel like we could have done better. Most of the time, I feel like we did pretty well. The whole band played almost better than the eight grade. When we messed up, it wasn 't a big deal.
