Personal Narrative: Moving To Italy

This determined girl took advantage of this opportunity by drinking from a stagnant pool of water, getting herself sick. This allowed her to stay with her cousins while her immediate family traveled up the mountain to the next harvest. Diaz describes a young girl scared and desperately thinking of what to do and the courage she must have had to do this. She saw an opportunity with her abusive mother away and took a leap of faith and confided in the local teacher. This seven-year-old girl took a big chance that she would be returned to her mother, finding an unwelcome beating like in the past, but it was worth it.

I was raised under a belt held by my father. To this day I can still recall the days I witnessed my father 's abuse to my family physically and emotionally. My family was tightly gripped by my father; which resulted to my sisters and I fearing him as we grew up. As a child, I was the one who got hit the most.

Twas the morning of the fourth of August at Juan Diego Catholic High School as the day was going just normal for most of the students who attended there. Some were having a wonderful day and some were having an awful day such as Jake the 10th grader spilling coffee on himself and almost burning the skin off of his body. To continue on, our story here today focuses on the society we have at Juan Diego and what we know and what we don’t, and how we go into perspective on how others are being treated and how they truly feel. To get back to our story here is what is happening at this certain moment, it is 8:00 and school has just started, our main character today is Justin Morrison who is in the 9th grade, Justin's parents are divorced and his sister is ran away from home five years ago and him and his family have never heard from her since then.

Esperanza Ortega is rich, elegant, and not used to hard labor and being a poor peasant. Esperanza is 12 years old and always thought her life would be wonderful with many fancy dresses and servants. As a child of a “Old World Dominican Mother” Lola must be surrounded by traditional values and beliefs that she does not want to claim, so “as soon as she became sick” Lola says, “I saw my chance and I’m not going to pretend or apologize; I saw my chance and I eventually took it” (416). When taking the opportunity to distinguish herself from the typical “Dominican daughter” or ‘Dominican slave,” she takes a cultural norm like long hair and decides to impulsively change it (416). Lola enjoyed the “feeling in [her] blood, the rattle” that she got when she told Karen to “cut my hair” (418).

Their once was a girl named Maria who was an shy, quiet girl, because she was always bullied By someone named Juan 's. She was the biggest, meanest girl in the school who would always get her way, but for some odd reason she would go after Maria. One day while in math class Maria was using a new led pencil she had just bought when Juan 's noticed the pencil she had she became jealous so she went towards her desk to get the pencil but Maria refused to give it to her then Juan had tricked her to give her the pencil she did and by the end of the class she had gave it back to her it was broke into pieces. And so Maria was pretty upset by that then her teacher Ms. McMillan called her to be strong and to stand up for what she thought was

(Marchetta, 95) The Italians judge her as she is already a disgrace for going against their values and beliefs. She feels restricted from the pressures and that her life doesn’t belong to her. She is pressured to make a good impression that will reflect on her family, in return she never is able to be happy will her life for she never wants to make another mistake again. Therefore Christina is affected by obligations and expectations of her family and culture, which in return influence her life and decisions and make her feel alone and isolated without a voice.

Maria was a girl that was getting bully in school the bully was Jawanna .One day Maria was at lurch and Jawanna take her brown an ate it. Maria was in class and Jawanna do not have a pen and Maria had one and Jawanna said can have that pen by that pen was her good one but she let her use it. After class jawanna give her pen back but it was broken.

Maria has the impression that it is her fault that her father got angry and could hurt their family. She thinks that her father would hurt his family to get revenge on her for not wanting to going on the family

My pulse suddenly dropped as soon as my parents told me the big news. For a little girl to transition after moving to a different country can be very difficult, especially when you are completely unknown to the language. Although it might seem like a necessity for an individual to fit in, it’s not; do not be afraid to be yourself. I was born in a country made up of 7,000 islands, which is also known as the Philippines. As a child, it was very difficult for me to fit in in other groups, so moving to the United States made me a little scared.

Melinda Sordino begins her freshman year with an unrevealed secret. She’s hated by all students because when the summer was coming to an end, she went to a party and called the police. She has to go through judgments and physical bullying ever since. Till she finally tells the world what happened that night and everything changes.

It was the last week of school, and Kristina was in 8th grade. Kristina couldn 't wait to be in 9th grade, but she hated that she was being bullied everyday. Kristina had cried everyday, at school during lunch, during class, after school on the way home, and at home. On the weekends she wouldn 't leave the house, because it was her only time she got away from the bullies, and she didn 't want to take a chance on being seen outside of school.

Up North in Maine, a Princess and her friends Dasher, Penelope, and Vicky, took a long walk to the palace of the King in New England. The princess was intrigued to know what her friends had experienced during their summer vacation. Dasher had the urge to tell his story about his trip to New York He had a summer romance and he took her out for some pork “She was stunning in that red dress,” Dasher expressed.
