Jeffrey Dahmer is a well known American serial Killer and Sex Offender who killed and dismembered seventeen men in 1978 through 1991. Looking into his childhood, at the age of four Dahmer went through a traumatic and irritating recovery. He had surgery to correct a double hernia but there was a noticeable change in him. He became withdrawn from his family especially right after the birth of his brother. Following this, Dahmer became fascinated with animal bones and started to study different ways on how to be clean and preserve them. His trial began in January 1992 and due to his victims being mostly black, security was taken very seriously. They had put up an eight-foot barrier of bulletproof glass which separated him from the gallery. He first pleaded not guilty to the chargers, but later pleaded guilty by virtue of insanity when his defense described some gruesome details claiming that no one could ever commit these terrible crimes without being insane.
