957 years in prison. Jeffrey Dahmer was killed his second year in prison by an inmate that he harassed. I believe that Dahmer was mentally messed up and that he made his own choices and became the way he was. I think his parents should have been more there for him though and noticed that he didn’t have many friends and had weird behaviors, I felt as if they didn’t discipline him enough or he wouldn’t have acted out in the way he had. His parents got divorced when he was a teenager plus the contributing factors that he didn’t have any friends played a part of the way he was. I think the surgery and stress of everything was overwhelming and that he didn’t have someone to look up to and see right for wrong. As for his behaviors as

Jeffrey would give them drugs that were laced with alcohol before suffocating them to death. Dahmer went so far with these killings that he kept parts of the bodies as souvenirs.
While living with his grandmother, Dahmer wanted to straighten out his life, so he prayed all the time to get rid of it. It was also frustrating for him to find a significant other because he needed someone who could give Dahmer 100% of his attention and that could fulfill his violent and sexual fantasies. Finding someone to fill his needs was near impossible because he would never have been able to share his intimacy with anyone because of his parents’

The life story of Jeffrey Dahmer is very interesting, from his childhood to his eventual death, there are so many interesting facts that most people don’t know. A question i’ve formed while researching this topic is ‘What was his motive for killing?’.
Jeffrey Dahmer was a notorious serial killer who liked to pick up men in bars telling them he was a photographer and he wanted to take their picture. Once at his place he would offer alcohol and drug them so they could not get away. Dahmer was a sadistic sexual serial killer who liked to have control over his victims even after they were dead. Dahmer who would dismember his victims’ bodies often saving their skulls or other body parts also practiced necrophilia and cannibalism.
A serial killer can best be described as a person who commits a series or murders, often with no apparent motive and typically following a characteristic, predictable behavior pattern. A disturbing fact about serial killers is that most of them should be eminently identifiable. Serial killers commit their acts specifically in one place, therefore, give the residents of the community, its police force, and even their neighbors ample opportunity to find out what they are. The fact they are not caught is attributed to three factors. The first being the characteristics of the victims, which in Jeffrey Dahmer's case he prayed mostly on gay men.
