Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution changed everything for the world. It shaped the way we live and function today. The Industrial Revolution is the reason why so many things are facilitated for us now. Although, the Industrial Revolution was so long ago the effects of it shaped our nation. The Industrial Revolution was effectively created a new economic system known as “capitalism.” It changed and impacted our society and every individual person.
Basically, the Industrial Revolution had such an impact on our nation because machines were developed to complete tasks that were once done by people or in some cases animals like horses.

Several brilliant minds contributed to beginning and the growth of the revolution. Some people are more prominent than others but nonetheless they all had a huge contribution to the Industrial Revolution. One of the great minds behind the Industrial Revolution is Henry Ford. Henry Ford was by far one of the most imperative inventors in the Industrial Revolution. He was born on July 30 on his parents’ farm in Michigan. He was always curious and enjoyed trifling with machines. He gained knowledge and ample opportunity for research at his job at a machine shop in Detroit. Later on he was employed by Westinghouse Engine Company part time where he received the experience that later on played a vital role in his life. Henry attempted to create an automobile company twice and failed both times. The third time was the charm and it proved to be successful and victorious, thus, the Ford Motor Company was born. The Industrial Revolution was a period where factories were enhanced and new luxuries were created, some of the luxuries are still used today! This Technological Revolution was a generation where Industrialization began, which was the development of factories and other human resources. The Industrial Revolution included many positive and negative effects for citizens, but for factory workers it was mainly negative. During The Industrial Revolution, citizens were forced to work in polluted factories with dangerous and terrible conditions.

Andrew Carnegie had a significant effect on the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution is the development of factories and the mass production of consumer goods, in this case, Carnigies steel. The Industrial Revolution set the economic foundation that allowed Andrew Carnegie to construct his monopoly called Carnegie Steel. Some argue that Andrew Carnegie was a Robber Barron because he didn’t do anything about the dangerous work conditions but the evidence supports that he was a captain of industry because he was a philanthropist and rose from a rags-to-riches storyline. Andrew Carnegie had such a powerful influence on the world and his steel-making establishment is still around today.
While in this position he made many investments, in many different kinds of companies. One of these being in the oil industry. In 1865 he left the railroad industry to focus on other business. One of these businesses being Keystone Bridge Company.
Andrew Carnegie, A man of many talents, that never gave up, and always strived for perfection. When you think of the economy and how far along it has came since 50 years ago one name should come to mind, Andrew Carnegie . He was the top person when it came to steel and made a lot of money doing it. Andrew Carnegie, played an important role in United States history, which brought about an exponential change in the United States “Carnegie was born on November 25, 1835, in the small Scottish town of Dunfermline, near Edinburgh. His father, William, had been a successful weaver and moved to Dunfermline from a tiny settlement in order to be closer to the center of trade.”
The industrial revolution completely changed America as we know it. It brought many changes to our nation- some good and some bad. The Industrial Revolution changed how we produce and consume goods. The Industrial Revolution shaped the growing economy at the time in many positive and negative aspects. The Industrial Revolution took place during the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s and was considered to be the “New Industrial.” Many things were brought to the economy at the time due to this occurring; some in which being machinery, technology, production of goods, and even performance. The economy was not the only thing greatly affected by this revolution but the farmers, the working-class, and the middle-class were also affected to a deep extent.
The United States, France, Haiti, and many other countries all underwent series of revolutions between 1750 and 1850. A few events provided impetus for these revolutions: the Reformation, the Industrial Revolution, and the Enlightenment. The Reformation was a religious reform movement that began in the early 1500s and split the Western Christian Church. Fed by not only religious reasons but also by by political and social factors, the transformation provided a source of power for many rulers and shaped European colonial expansion.
These resources helped to build parts for the steam engine. The English scientific thought also helped cause the Industrial Revolution. People discovered different ways to things to make the process more efficient. Jethro Tull invented the Horse drawn seed drill which planted seeds in straight rows with significantly less labor (Document 7).
The Industrial Revolution was a period of time when machines changed the lifestyle of people, but was it a revolution which factors made it revolutionary? I believe that the three characteristics that made the industrial revolution revolutionary is, it reformed old structure with new ones, it is still used and influential till today, and it is caused by economic hardship. The Industrial Revolution was a significant revolution to the world and it reformed old structure of jobs. It changed the way people live and their method of manufacture.
Effects of the Industrial Revolution The Industrial Revolution was an important event in history. It brought about many positives during its time. For instance, kids were well fed, educated, and clothed. There were plenty of negatives, as well. One very sad example was the machine injuries that happened to both children and adults.
