Why did Rome Fall? What are the main reasons why this happened? The Roman Empire started in 750 BCEand ended in the 5th century. Rome was located in the middle east, Northern Africa. It was also located in the Mediterranean region, western Europe.

The Roman empire was a prosperous empire that flourished between the years 27 BC - 476 AD. However, there were many internal and external factors that contributed to the fall of the Roman empire. Some internal factors that contributed to the fall of the Roman empire included their financial strains, and the people starting to distrust each other. Some external factors that contributed to the downfall of the Roman empire include constant pressure from the northern world, and Rome’s army not being able to compete with other armies.

The Western Roman empire fell in 476 C.E.. The Roman Empire lasted nearly 500 years. Before the fall of the Western Empire, Constantine split the Roman Empire into two parts, west and east. He moved the government and the capital to Byzantine (later renamed Constantinople). While ancient Rome and modern day America are very different in some ways, they are similar in other ways.

Kingdoms would begin to flourish in what was once known as the Western Roman Empire. Rome would eventually become one of the western capitals of Christianity, especially after Emperor Constantine allowed people to practice Christianity as their religion. The Roman Empire may not have fell if it wasn’t for the poor military, mistrust in the government, and it’s overwhelming size. If they had had stronger protection, trust in the government, and a smaller region to control, things may have ended differently for the Roman

While the Roman Empire stood, it lived as one of the strongest and most remarkable time civilizations in world history. Its effects on the world led up to today, from the way the United States and many other countries conducted trade and their government, to literature and romance languages. French, English, Italian, German, and Spanish are all languages derived from the Roman language, Latin. The Romans flourished as an empire from 31 BCE to 476 CE, and they had just as much of an effect on the world in its peak as it did during its downfall and after. After the Roman empire fell and Rome split into the Eastern and Western empires, each empire developed differently. The differences can be clearly seen when analyzing the churches which each empire produced. In the year 1054, the Christian church branched out in the Eastern and Western empires to Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholicism, respectively. The alienation between the Eastern and Western churches was deeply rooted in political and cultural differences. As Western culture evolved, largely due to the influx of Germanic peoples in the West, the Eastern culture stayed virtually the same, sustaining a tradition of Hellenistic Christianity.

Several changes were occurring such as the division and fall of Rome and the rise and spread of Christianity but one thing that continued was the idea of patriarchy and authority in the average Roman family. In the year 100 C.E, most of Europe was in a time of peace and prosperity but after 180 C.E, Rome started to decline due to ineffective leadership and outside invasions, ending the empire’s golden age. Germanic people spread plagues causing a decrease in population and also took the opportunity to attack Rome.

Since the romans were not doing good Economically they could not fund the military in order to protect them, which also led to the fall of their military. Socio-Political problems were also a factor; there was a decline in interest to public affairs.
