A Personal Philosophy and Vision for Nursing
Nursing is an illustrious vocation of the health care division that put emphasis on paying attention of the patients, persons, and even relatives in the absence or presence of the physicians. Besides, they also help the surgeons in their numerous cure undertakings of the subjects (sick people), which in order would aid in the recuperation of the patients. The occupation can be distinguished on the foundation of their line of attack to patient’s therapy, room of exercise, and other fresh improvements (Allan, 2008). However, for a nurse, especially, I believe that, senior nurses play a key role in curing the given patients as they have to get involved them into different daily routine activities together

In view of this, nursing professional should incorporate or embrace these values to respect and justify the diverse identified or unidentified nursing roles (Bondas, 2006). The assumed values will offer them an edge to work without purpose, an altruistic way. In fact, apart from the thoughtfulness and fidelity, responsibility, impartiality, and self-possession and family values will help them to see the height of career satisfaction and fulfillment as it is found that, with such values’ presence, patients get cured in good time in addition to proper medication’s …show more content…
Also, I feel that, each person should get the best medical treatment and nursing professions should abide by this profession’s guideline in their daily duties. However, when I see that, the nursing has developed exceptionally and is playing a key role in the health care, it makes me feel satisfied being a baccalaureate nurse and I wish that, people get the superlative and technological based treatments at an inexpensive

Ethical Dilemmas in Nursing Numerous situations present with ethical dilemmas in the field of providing and receiving nursing care. Although laws and regulations are in place to guide healthcare workers in setting up care plans and in making choices while following those, day-to-day events may challenge those choices. Clients and their families may have requests or needs, outside of the plans already set, where values and beliefs are clashing. One such dilemma is placing a patient in restraints.
Right now, nurses all over the country are busy taking care of sick patients. Healthcare is continually evolving and changing. It seems like patient’s needs are becoming greater by the day. We’ve been told for years now that with the aging of the baby boomers the need for nurses will grow. These patients are often complex with multiple medical problems that need to be managed.
Every nursing, in order to consider the profession must have an understanding of at least three of the five professional values, in my opinion. These values consist of altruism, autonomy, human dignity, integrity and social justice (Taylor 96). Beginning with the professional value of Altruism, the believe in or practice and self concern for the well-being of others (96). I believe that in order to be the best nurse you can be for your patients, you must understand the concept of altruism. As a nurse, your profession is to take care of people, if you do not know the professional value of altruism than you cannot possibly understand how important it is to care about the wellbeing of your patient.

I didn’t really feel as part of the team through most of this experience because I wasn’t competent to complete many tasks but one of the nurses did try to get me involved when things were under control. She suggested that I draw up 40ml of saline into 5ml syringes if I felt comfortable doing so. Under her supervision I completed the task successfully and even though I didn’t contribute a lot I still felt good about getting involved and then I felt more competent. According to Penderson and Sivonen (2012) it takes courage for student nurses to accept tasks that get them involved in patient care, even if it is something very simple. I felt like I had contributed to Katie’s care.

The professional nursing values I believe are things you can be taught and some you cannot. Nurses are special individuals who ultimately want to care for and help others as much as they can. I agree with all of these values and believe some I will need to work on myself such as competence, illness prevention and patient education. Others I believe I have based on my experience I have already had while caring for others. Some of the qualities I believe I have include: caring, compassion, dependability, empathy, focusing on the patient- defining quality of life, having a holistic patient centered care, kindness, openness to learning, respect for others their dignity and worth and sensitivity.
My Philosophy of Nursing: Holistic Care As a nursing student, I have realized that nursing is not just a profession, but a way of life. It requires a deep understanding and commitment to providing compassionate care to patients in their time of need. For me, the most effective approach to patient care is one that considers the whole person - body, mind, and spirit (Jasemi et al., 2017). This approach, known as holistic care, forms the foundation of my nursing philosophy.
There are 5 professional values that are associated with the description of a nurse. The first professional value of nursing is altruism. Altruism can describe someone who is unselfish, concerned, and devoted to helping others in need. The beauty of being a nurse is that nurses are caregivers to all.
Christian nurses are given the unique ability to provide compassionate and spiritual care to a variety of patients. The purpose of this paper is to explain my definition of nursing as a caring art, describe how Christian faith impacts caring, describe my personal philosophy of nursing while identifying my own personal values and beliefs, and discus how my beliefs impact my nursing practice. To me, nursing as an art of caring, is defined as caring for the whole person, building meaningful relationships, and providing compassionate care. Holistic nursing care involves healing a person physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I believe the art of nursing is embedded in the steps we take to address problems that are not simply physical.
Now nurses have many roles, such as care takers, decision makers, advocates and teachers and they often assume several roles at the same time. Because of the diversity of nursing role nurses need a philosophy of nursing to guide their practice. The practice of nursing is the care of patients through a professional interpersonal relationship. Nurses apply behavioural scientific principles, biologic scientific principles, and principles of humanism in a
Additionally, the Some of the nurse can not just only listen and obey from the doctor but also be an assistance who is allowed to administer the medications by their judgment. Therefore, the status of nurse is enhanced. Florence Nightingale regards nursing as a novel art, science and a brand-new mission which need to improve toward continuously.
