Alpine Skiing
Did you know that the Winter Olympics is held in Pyeongchang, South Korea? The Winter Olympics has a sport called Alpine Skiing. First of all, there are four components to this specific event. In the following, I will be explaining how you compete. You will turn your skis to the direction you want to go, but you have to turn your legs before your body. The Ski Racing in the U.S uses two points list to rank. USSA ranks them nationally and the FIS ranks the skiers internationally. The judges usually use the racers time against the winners times. Next, they take the top 30 skiers from the first race and race in reverse order in the second race. The winner is decided by their fastest time. There are three medalist for the Alpine Skiing Race. Ski goggles have a variety of lens colors to protect the eyes against the sun, glare, and weather, it also affects the speed on their eyes. The helmets protect their head and ears. Then they also need bindings to secure the boots to the ski and is designed to release their hold in to event a fall. Poles are almost on the things they need lastly but, the poles are used for balance and steering. They also have different types of poles for speed. The kind of suits they were usually skin tight to reduce air resistance, they also can wear padding for protection. Lastly one of the equipments are wax for the skis to increase control, glide and speed. To make the event more interesting they added more things you can do in this event like Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super Giant Slalom, Downhill, and Super Combined. For the safety of the skiers they need to wear the helmet to protect their head if they fall and won’t get as much damage without the helmet. Once everybody got down to the floor, they played music for like 30 minutes for every body to dance to, and pass the time. Once the judges were done with the scores, they had everybody sit down. Then they started calling of the placings. The announcer calls the placing by the teams divisions. There are 6 divisions.
The cushion material inside the helmet is unknown ,but is often thought to be thick leather or sheep skin to soak up sweat and prevent rusting. According to Doc 4 multiple corporations invested in the South Korean olympics which are said to make a massive sum of money because of said investments. One other part of the Document is that it states that the economical standpoint of the olympics is completely neutral. Many businesses ignore the politics of the countries and instead focus on gaining a profit. Another document that shows how the olympics changed is how the broadcasting rights in Doc 8 increase for every olympic game, showing the importance of the olympics rising every year. The final document showing a divide in the olympics due to politics is Doc 9.
Snowboarding, one of the hardest snowsport to learn but easy to master. It 's also one of the most enjoyable snowsport on the planet. Even though it’s fun, you can really injure yourself if you 're not careful. It's a big rodeo that is held for ten days, and all of the best rodeo athletes go there. Each day the athletes' are required to compete in their event. Competitors will compete even if they are hurt. For the person that wins that night, they will be put at the top of the list with the most points. This will go on for ten days, and whoever has the most points wins.
It wasn’t until 2014 that slopestyle got added to the Olympic Games. Since then it has become a fan favorite in other competitions world wide. It feels like it just flies by in seconds. Races can be very hard if runners haven't trained though. They have to set a good pace for themselves. If they don't, racers might run way too fast in the beginning and then get tired and won't be able to keep running. This sounds silly, but runners will also have to make sure their shoes are on tight
I’m on a mountain, I just overcame my first obstacle the chair lift. Which I thought would be harder than it was I miraculously didn’t fall or knock over the other skiers/snowboarders. Prioritizing, viewing a wide variety of injuries, and differing work fields are just a few of the benefits that you get when you are a trainer.

Figure skaters use their arms and legs to dance on the ice and do tricks. The circulatory system flows blood, that is filled with oxygen and nutrients, all over her body. Some people don’t want to join track because “they don’t like running”, what some people don’t think about is the field part of Track and Field. There are many different options when it comes to track and field. Track and field is a very enjoyable sport to most of the members.
On the day of the pageant the contestants get interviewed and the judges will ask questions. There are two main formats for interviews: a panel interview or one-on-one. Depending on the answer given, the judges access which contestant they prefer. Some contestants could perform skills which they possess like singing and dancing. This will then go towards who the winner will be.
When the wind begins to nip at your face, when the sky becomes a light grey, when all life seems to be hidden away, one knows that there is a high chance of snow. Plants seem to lose their color and become as barren as that of the sky. Animals and humans seem to burrow up from the cold weather outside. But one can only anticipate the white flurry substance coming from the sky. Snow is a magical thing.
