With my relay team stretched, warmed up, and ready to go, we headed towards the stadium where we would race against the fastest girls in the nation. Intimidated but not deterred we headed out of Tent City and into the gates of Turner Stadium. Knowing this was my last race I would run with my close friends and relay team, being it 's the last race of the season and we all weren’t going to be in the same age group next year, I had a whole new mind set. I was constantly thinking, “we have to make top ten because we can make top ten.” “We have the times, we have the strength, we have the speed, we just need to have the guts to walk in there like we are going to shred the track into pieces.
The documents given all point towards a specific idea: how the olympics affect the world. The method in which the olympics affects the world differs in the various sources, with some speaking on progress in political relations, some speaking on progress socially, and finally others arguing it affects the world as a place for hostile countries to prove their worth to each other competitively. The documents about political progress are documents 1, 5, 6, and 7. The first, document 1, speaks very specifically on one who believes that the olympics will decrease tension between countries.

Despite working hard at practice every day, I was not able to get faster. I was determined to get better so I would go home, watch videos, and learn the techniques. All of my friends and family motivated me to not give up. I started to attend every competition and even though I was not coming out in the first place, I kept trying.
Cross country is also a great way to stay in shape if your sports season is over or you just want to stay healthy. It's also very important to eat good foods before and after the race and stretch when you're
Though the physical pain of running had never vanished, the sport eventually became more than a way of dealing with my past scars. When the coach resigned, I wanted and needed to keep the club afloat. Scheduling the meets, running the team practices, and motivating my fellow peers, I became responsible for the success or failure of the club. My ambition was to create and foster an environment in which my peers could also benefit from the discipline of track. As I took on this role, I realized it wasn’t so easy.
“You made the team!!”my mom told me with excitement in her voice. By now I’ve been playing lacrosse for over four years. Although this is my first time playing for F.C.A (Florida Christian athletes) and I was kind of nervous. Everyone was assuring me that I would be fine because of all the experiences I have. I have to admit, all of the nice thing that were said did feel a lot better and ready for practice tomorrow.
Running is not only physical, however, it is also the most mentally tough sports out there, which is not something that most people know. Sports like soccer and volleyball are team sports and although cross country is as well to some extent, cross country is actually a race against yourself. Cross country is all about racing against time and most importantly yourself. A runner will do only as well as he or she want to, if you want it enough then you can achieve it.
The physical aspect and believe that ‘the faster one is better’ is a common idea in most sports, therefore, football is not an exception, but it is specific enough not to be discussed in a traditional way of planning and developing the skill of speed. The breakdown of football specific tasks is clearly showing very low numbers of explicit straight sprinting over 30 meters – short distance sprints with change of direction take the central and most important role. Furthermore, there is evidence that straight sprinting training has little to no influence on sprinting that involves changes of directions, in more detail: the bigger the angle of directional change the smaller is the influence on straight sprinting [9]. These facts should be reason
Both of these sports are no cut sport, there is a spot for everyone to compete. Cross country and track are two of the toughest sports. Track makes running even more fun with doing all kind of different events like sprinting, mid-distance, long distance. To get started with running you have to be positive all the time and keep on working hard.
You should keep your hands in front of you and try to downhill. If you never read a newspaper, aim for about 6″ outside of your shoulder width. Do not forget to keep your hands ahead than you think makes sense. Next, are you had to move your wrists? Keep your arms from moving and flying backward.
How to Avoid Injury During Distance Running Training Risk of injury increases as you take serious change in your distance running training schedule. Change can be either in the number of days of training schedule (doing six or seven days a week of daily regular run) or in some work you do during regular steady runs. A good coach will help you evaluate in detail the factors, past and present, that influence a training program. Each runner has unique physical and mental condition and it is helpful to consider incorporating a training program depending to his or her own mix.
It’s hard to motivate yourself to run the next race when even on your best day one hundred people beat you. The track does not have nearly as much competition; usually no more twenty runners at a time. But placing last out of only twenty can hurt even worse. You have got to keep going, even when a girl laps you and you just want to quit, you get more accomplishment out of just finishing no matter how bad you did instead of
