The way a play is composed depends widely on the intended audience and setting in which the author is surrounded by and wishes to portray throughout their text. This is evident in the way the same overall story of Shakespeare's Macbeth gained cultural variation when it was produced into the film, The Throne of Blood, by Akira Kurosawa. The same themes and story line are evident with relatable characters to each of the different texts. This creates a shared meaning from an older work for a different audience that is found through the themes that are expressed through character alterations, the imagery of the play. The background of these texts begin in two significantly different places and cultures. Shakespeare’s Macbeth takes place along the lines of the actual occurrences of the Scotland in 1034 when King Malcolm II died. Under his last command, succession of the throne was granted to Duncan. This was against the succession rules of the time, as the real Macbeth was the one whom the throne rightfully belonged to. However, Macbeth lost to the favor of Duncan, who then became the King. Macbeth didn't immediately try to take the throne from Duncan, but overtime he openly raised an army against his rule. While watching both Goold (2010) and Polanski (1971), I have noticed a lot of major differences between the two movies and the original play Macbeth written by William Shakespeare. Some of the differences I have noticed is that is in Goold (2010), Macbeth actually comes to kill Lady Macduff and her children. Another difference in Goold (2010) is that the witches are shown throughout the film.

Compare and Contrast Macbeth and Film Act 1 scene 1: The 3 witches recited a spell or curse right away instead of starting with the first line in the play, “When shall we meet again..” (Shakespeare, 302). The second version we watched was less dramatic than the 1948 movie.
However, since Macbeth is king of all the land opposing him would be treason. Yet Malcolm continues with his plan and forms an army that goes to attack Macbeth. Macduff ends up killing Macbeth himself. Moreover, Malcolm takes the throne for himself. Power and authority shifts once again.

The Lion King is an animated Disney movie about a lion cub learning about life while on the run following his father’s death. The Lion King and Macbeth compare to certain multitudes, as well as contrast to a certain degree. Similarities and differences between the movie and play are shown between Duncan and Mufasa, Malcolm and Simba, Macbeth and Scar, the three witches and Rafiki, and the theme of appearance versus reality. These texts all have an overarching theme of war and conflict. The two links between these texts is war destroys innocence and the responsibilities / qualities of leadership. In the poem and stories of Macbeth, Wuthering Heights, and my last Duchess the women and men caused destructive love because they wanted control. In Macbeth, lady macbeth talks macbeth into things he doesn 't want to do. Also in Wuthering Heights Catherine doesn 't marry heathcliff because he doesn 't have money. In My Last Duchess he has his wife killed because she is paying other men attention.
Macbeth and Banquo were seen as relatively similar individuals who acted with nobility. At the beginning, they both were loyal military leaders who fought hard for their king and their country. However, after their encounter with the Three Weird Sisters, they began to show their differences through the actions they make in regards to prophecies they were given. Macbeth and Banquo were both heroic, noble and brave leaders who led their armies to victory numerous of times. They were loyal subjects to the king, and they lived their lives continuously fighting for him as well as the country.
