The client that we made our 6-week training program for is a 13 year-old girl with no medical history. This means that we can work her pretty hard, but we need to start out soft. Because this is a 5k, which is strictly running, we will not need to do many upper body weights. For our first week, we started out with a mix of cardio and leg weights, switching off each day. Students in schools around the U.S are being affected by the loss of the amount of study time received during summer vacation. This hurts their education drastically. Although you may not see the results in the first couple of days, you may see them in the long run. In order to increase student success at Anaheim, schools need to be more disciplined and organized on their students. Schools should give students a protocol or procedure to follow before and during school.
Though the physical pain of running had never vanished, the sport eventually became more than a way of dealing with my past scars. When the coach resigned, I wanted and needed to keep the club afloat. Scheduling the meets, running the team practices, and motivating my fellow peers, I became responsible for the success or failure of the club. My ambition was to create and foster an environment in which my peers could also benefit from the discipline of track. As I took on this role, I realized it wasn’t so easy.
By this point in her workout, Kate was getting worn down. After all, she'd only really run two 5k's, and the first one had nearly killed her. The second went marginally better. The goal is to see how much running someone will do that week. Once the goal is set the runner then pledges money online as an incentive to reach their goals. The amount of running a person does is tracked on a device similar to a Fitbit and if their goal isn’t reached then the money that was pledged goes to the Obesity Action Coalition which is a charity that helps in the fight against obesity.
