“We may have come in different ships, but we are in the same boat now.”(Martin Luther King) From the beginning of time, to the 20th century, racial injustice is still a problem. Around the world, people of color has been treat unfairly due to social class. Many people tried to fight against these causes, and bring civil right to those who were treated unfairly. When people ask you who is a “civil right activist”, the person that first appears in your brain is probably Martin Luther King. This amazing man was so famous because, he was an inspiration to many people, provide non-violent social changes, and brought people together for a long journey for peace.
King was such an inspiration because he help all people of color to gain civil rights. When he help out people he didn’t just think about himself, but all the people that are of color around him. He wanted a world with peace, and no segregation. With the issues however, a great many people have stood up for the rights of themselves and others. None of these people have been more prominent than Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King was the person who most impacted civil right because of the sheer number of people he captivated, as well as his calls for change being carried out in a nonviolent manner. He taught us that everyone is equal and should be treated like that. The Constitution had said that all men were equal, but people, because of their skin, were being treated badly. King inspired people, to stand up for their rights and get the equality they rightfully deserved. Unlike others, he was peaceful, and didn’t want anyone to fight or spill blood over the cause. He tried to tell people how badly they were being treated, because of their differences.
He wanted the world to change and be a friendly environment for everyone and he got just that. Influential Person Research Paper Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was an influential figure because of his contributions to the Civil Rights Movement despite the challenges he faced such as constantly being arrested and his house being bombed. One of the first accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was his founding and presidency of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). The SCLC is a civil rights group that focused on desegregating the south. The group's first focus was on desegregating the bus system, but they eventually moved on to greater things such as registering blacks to vote and organizing peaceful protests. This proves that King was a successful civil rights leader, even though he struggled against racists whites in power that would try to oppress him and his group.
Later in life, I realized that Mr. King did a lot of African-Americans, he had many other important influential messages. His message was about the racial equality and the economic equality. Everyone in the states really deserved a good amount of money so they can support themselves and their families. His last speech was in support of the bus driver 's strike which is located in Memphis, Tennessee. While Mr. King was in Memphis for that trip in 1968, a man shot him on a balcony outside of his motel room.
Martin Luther King Jr. helped us realize that segregation and poverty are wrong. He also helped us realize that we should treat people the same. No matter race, color, or gender. He has impacted our everyday lives with the Civil Rights Act and his “I Have a Dream…” speech. He is an important man with an important history.

He was very passionate about his progression of nonviolent protesting and raised plenty awareness towards the media of racial inequalities eventually working towards a significant change that would change the world forever.
