What Freedom Means to Me
Have you ever thought what freedom means to you? Freedom is “The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.” To me freedom means, that American’s have the right to have Freedom of Education, Freedom of Religion, and Freedom of Equality.
First, Freedom of Education means freedom to me. Freedom of Education is a freedom that allows everyone in the United States of America to go and get an education no matter what. Without the veterans that fought for this freedom we wouldn’t be educated like we are today. For example, in some countries the women are not educated because the leader says they need to stay home and do the housework. Again, Freedom of Education means freedom
Freedom can have many meetings to many people. Freedom to some may mean to be free in a trapped society filled with rules and regulations. Freedom can be revealed to the naked eye in things such as laws, organizations, and even clubs. Freedom to me is living your life however you choose, wherever you choose, and whenever you choose to do so. Angela Davis had once lost those privileges.

However, the freedom is limited to white males who own property. When colonists started to immigrate to America, they wanted to escape from under the rule of Britain.
According to dictionary.com, freedom means “political or national independents”, but in reality it means much more than that. During the revolutionary war, four thousand four hundred and thirty-five lives were lost in order to gain independence and freedom for all Americans. I believe that freedom means that people can express themselves however they want and that they can make decisions for themselves. I think that this is true because people can choose their religion, have the freedom of speech, and can stand up for what they believe is right. Freedom of religion was part of the First Amendment to the Declaration of Independence, which means that people are able to choose their religion and can freely worship.
Freedom (liberty) is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without resistance. Freedom is America's honor, and honor comes with obligations and we have the obligation to use our freedom wisely. We can accept or reject the obligations, but we must choose well. I'm a patriot for country because of the freedoms that I have. One way we have our freedom is because of the Declaration of Independence and first ten Amendments of the Constitution or The Bill of Rights.
Ever wondered why freedom is so important to America? Why we need freedom and why some people take advantage of it? Or why we have rules with the freedom we have? Freedom to me isn’t just a word, it’s a way of life that everybody uses, sure, all people are unique but freedom is the one thing that makes us all the same, as equals and individuals.
Freedom is enjoy your civil liberty. It 's being personally free, and being able to move or act without outside interference. It gives you the right to enjoy privileges of citizenship. It gives you the liberty of your personal thoughts, or choices. It lets you be who you want to be.
Freedom is the ability to make a choice without hindrance or interference from others, as well as restrictions to create equal rights and protect the citizens. Equality is a sameness between citizens, that no one is treated different than another, as well as access to the same opportunities, programs, and services as any
Although we pledge to the swaying stars and stripes before school every morning, what does freedom truly stand for and represent for our country? Freedom means being able to have your own rights and not being controlled by a government. Freedom also represents being able to speak out towards your own government or having connections to relatives in countries all around the world! When writing the constitution, our founding fathers wanted to have citizens in power over who represents us; they also wanted for all men to be created equal and to have human rights.
Freedom can be interpreted in many ways, if you look up freedom in the dictionary it will say: the state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint. My ancestors said, “America is freedom”, my little sister says, “freedom is all the ice cream and T.V. in the world.” For me I’m not sure yet what I think freedom is. Freedom is the ability to do whatever one wants without restraint. Many people in our country take freedom for granted, while many suffer from the lack of freedom in other countries. Freedom is when you choose all of your actions, which is what was meant for everyone. Making choices of your own is how you learn and grow. When you are in a position without freedom, somebody withholds it.
At my old school, Heritage Academy, we talked a lot about what freedom meant to us and the founding fathers along with what they did to protect it and what we should do to protect it. The main thing that we emphasized was that the more corrupt people the more rules they need thus to be free we must be educated. So, the real question was what does it mean to be educated? To be educated means to know what to do and know what not to do. For instance, speeding laws are a just really recommendation.
The greatest achievements in history have all came from one thing. A person whose past experiences have shaped them to better the outcome. Just as Ronald Reagan encouraged the Berlin Wall to come down, and for women's rights activists to help pave the way for women's rights. There are many things that force people to make change in their life. Most are empowered by their previous experiences in the world around them.

Freedom is the correction to do what he/she wants, live life, and eat what he/she wants. How do we live free? We live free by not judging other people’s freedom rights. Everyone has their own rights.
In order to have freedom, one must feel responsible for their actions. On the other hand, we are powerless in regards to knowing what the future holds; our genes, upbringing, environment claim that free will is just an illusion. We are either determined by physical events in our brains, by our genetic makeup, by social conditions or by gods will. The main question to ask is not whether or not we have free will or if we are determined, but to ask what it truly means to be free rather than what we adopt it to mean? Are there limitations to our freedom?
