The “Great War” happened in 1914 and lasted until 1918. The war was triggered, because of the assassination of the archduke Franz Ferdinand, who was supposed to receive the throne. Documents 7 and 9 go hand in hand, because it shows the European Alliances. Documents 3,4,5, and 8 show the militarism cause of the war. Lastly, the Documents numbered 1,2, and 6 belong together due to the fact they show the Imperialist Competition.

During the years that led up to World War 1, many factors took place that potentially caused the war to occur, especially in the continent of Europe. In the Balkan peninsula, a belief called nationalism caused lots of chaos and tension between the nations (OI). Prideful Balkan countries would battle amongst themselves to prove their dominance as a culture. On top of this, countries formed alliances, creating an intricate alliance system that stretched throughout most of 20th century Europe

World War II has been going on for 10 years and for the war to be over Japan or the Allied Powers would have to surrender. The United States and the Soviet Union were super powers with tension that stayed beneath the surface for the duration of the war. The two were in a race to invent and use the first atomic war head. After ten years of war the conditions of Japan were poor and not likely to withstand much more conflict. Yet on December 7, 1941 the Japanese bombed an American naval base in Hawaii.

Imperial America consisted of the thirst for new markets, the desire for military strength, and the belief in cultural superiority. The United States has had its history of annexation over territories and land, because of imperialism. At the start, the United States purchased Alaska in 1867, and in 1893, annexed Hawaii. The Spanish-American war resulted in the Treaty of Paris of 1898.

What is the most effective way to stop a world war? On September 1, 1939, Germany invaded Poland (Timeline), going against the Treaty of Versailles but no one did anything. Every nation ignored the actions of Hitler, which in turn probably gave Hitler the message that he could do whatever he wanted and get away with it. As his actions become unbearable to ignore, the nations became angered and joined the war. The world was then split into two opposing teams: the Axis powers (which housed Germany, Japan, and Italy) and the Allied powers (Great Britain, the United States, China, and the Soviet Union).

World War One had many legacies after it ended. A legacy that the war left was power and authority in different countries effect after the war. The powers were the Nazis in Germany, the fascist in Italy,and the Bolsheviks in Russia. After the war many people were looking for hope,which made them join groups to make them feels apart of something.

The beginning of war, is the ending of life. The reason that war is death, is that the war of Valley Forge caused many to be deceased, and deceived. I have decided to not re-enlist into the Colonial Army because of sickness (Doc. C+A), Housing (Doc. D+B), and supply shortage (Doc. C+B). These reasons listed are big reasons that caused death, and sadness taking away loved ones and friends. There were several reasons as to what caused this war to begin. Let 's go back to the year of 1806 when France declared it to be illegal for “all neutral trade with Great Britain”

Being a woman or  an african american in the years of 1941-1945 was a harsh thing. Imagine being a woman and going to work, and you want to go home and rest but you can’t because you have to clean the house and take care of your family. Or being an African American and being segregated when they are working. But also being a Latino and getting benefits from the G.I Bill. An event that led up to the entrance and involvement of the United States in World War II was the Great Depression.

War; what is it good for? Well that really depends on where you’re standing. World War I was good for producing short and long term effects. On the short side of things there were rivalries and propaganda. On the long term side, there were new ideas to be utilized by coming generations and new territorial set ups.

Bloody, long, and brutal are a few words to describe World War I. World War I was a hard fought, 4 year battle between many several countries. So, what was the main reason behind this war? There are many different underlying causes to this.

World War II was an eventful time both overseas and on the homefront. Men in the army toiled away fighting battles in the Pacific and Europe, and the war effort was just as strong at home. Industry was booming. Resources were conserved. Everyone was involved. !

World War 2 had an abject impact on the United States Home front, although, there was no battles on the American mainland, the war affect all phases of the American life. It required remarkable strategies and tactics to dive into combat against the axis powers-Italy, Germany, and Japan. Likewise, it demanded immense sacrifices to be made on the Home front, for the United States (US) to win the war. With the sacrifices and single-mindedness of the American people, the US was able to break out of World War 2 as the world leaders in both production and military.
