The People v. O. J. Simpson is a case that will forever divide the Unites States of America. The verdict of the case brought anger to many people, yet happiness to others. Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were murdered brutally on the 12th of June in 1994 by Orenthal James “O.J.” Simpson. Orenthal pleaded not guilty after a 266-day long trial. Orenthal James Simpson was born on July 9, 1947 in San Francisco, California. Simpson was a former actor, broadcaster, and NFL football star (Shoft). Louis was an American who was stationed in West Germany at the time (Biography.com). Louis and Juditha Brown got married in Germany where they had two daughters, Denise and Nicole Brown (Biography.com). The Browns moved to Garden Grove, California when Denise and Nicole were toddlers, and there the couple had two more daughters, Dominique and Tanya (Biography.com). Brown Simpson did not have a hard time adjusting to the life in the United States especially with her physical characteristics, a tall beautiful blonde. She attended Dana Hills High School, where she won homecoming queen (Biography.com). At the age of 18, Brown Simpson started working as a waitress at a restaurant, and there she met O.J. After he dropped out of school, Van Buren worked as a law clerk in a lawyer’s office for seven years.

When Simpson was detained by law enforcement, he was questioned about the problem of police finding Brown-Simpson and Goldman dead at her condominium. OJ Simpson became the “person of interest” due to his previous relationship with Nicole and the marital issues they faced that became physically and mentally abusive which made Nicole Simpson come to the conclusion of divorcing Mr. Simpson in late 1993.

Before the bodies were ever recovered Oj had packed his bags and caught a flight to Chicago, later he received a phone call saying that Nicole Brown was murder. The cops wanted to talk to him and later he had lead the cops on a hot pursuit chase and they apprehended him.
