Suicide is a really devastating thing, suicide is the tenth leading cause of death today, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death from ages 10-24, and 5th from ages 45-59. For every woman who commits suicide, there are four men that commits it, but women are 3 times more likely to commit suicide than men are. Being bullied is a reason why a lot of people committed suicide because people felt like that the pain being inflicted on them would never stop, and no one could possibly do anything to stop that so they felt the only way to get away from all the trouble was killing themselves. Some people even go out of their way to harm everyone that they felt hurt them and the people they felt like could’ve helped but didn’t, like school shootings. …show more content…

Cyberbullying victims are 2 to 9 times more likely to consider committing suicide. Cyberbullying victims have a lower self-esteem than people who are bullied physically. Cyberbullying can occur through a wide variety of different mediums, like phones are used so much by teens, 80% of teens use phones these days, making it one of the most popular forms of communication, which makes it a lot easier for people to be cyberbullied.”(http://nobullying.com/”). Covert or hidden bullying is kind of harder to recognize and can be carried out behind a person’s back. This is supposed to ruin someone’s reputation, like spreading rumors about someone, and or cause humiliation like posting mean things about them, harming them for others entertainment, basically anything to humiliate someone.(”www.afsp.org”) Suicide is an escape route for people, they feel like it’s the best thing to do but it’s really the worst thing that you can possibly do, people should always think about what they’re doing, because when you decide to kill, or harm yourself you can’t go back,”Point of no return” and that’s the scary part about all of this, sitting there by yourself contemplating about killing yourself.
