The Importance Of Music In My Life

I do believe that music clears my mind and makes me happy no matter what emotion I have before I listen. It has a certain superpower that can change someone from sad to happy or from depressed to proud in a few minutes if you listen to the right songs or genre. I know that just turning on a song that someone likes can make their day. Music has enough power to get someone to get up and dance and that is special. It can power athletes, singers, actors, doctors, teachers, and anyone.

Music is more than that it’s something beautiful produced based on the musicians. For example when we play in class when you feel the emotion and the feeling of playing it’s just so wonderful. Music is the way kids and people show their emotions although even on a bad day we try to play well because we do not want to be the big mess up in class. Music to me is the beginning of my passion. As students, we engage in learning through a more interactive and exciting learning experience.

Essay "Which one do you think I would be good at?" Picking an instrument was probably the hardest part of band, for me at least. Looking at the paper covered with pictures of instrument that I could choose from was overwhelming. Music was my escape from life, music brought me to another universe, so, “Why did I have to pick?” , I thought.

I have always been a particularly musical person. When I was younger, I wanted to become a singer when I grew up, but upon joining the choir in elementary I realized I did not have the talent for singing that I thought I had. Continually singing off key and never sounding as good as my peers did, I decided to confine myself to singing at home where only my family could hear me. Despite this revelation that I was, in fact, a terrible singer, I still wanted to participate in some type of musical performance and decided to join the band in middle school. After trying out various different instruments, I settled on the flute and quickly fell in love.

The importance of music is unspoken because everyone has their own reason to appreciate it. “Have some composure and where is your posture?” This song excerpt is very relatable to any kid because it is basically saying that you’re supposed to be composed and perfect, but you’re actually not. In this particular song, the meaning behind this lyric is that a woman was having a wedding and she’s supposed to be perfect and composed, but instead she shoots her friend.

Music is powerful. It connects people. Music is both a medicine and a passion. It can communicate feelings and sensations, and can heal the mind

I began participating in band in 5th grade and throughout the years I have discovered that music is something that I truly enjoy. I originally decided to continue on with band during high school just for fun, unaware on how much of an impact it would have on my life. Through band, I have met some of my best friends and I have experienced once in a lifetime opportunities like performing at Walt Disney World, during a parade. Over the past four years I have drastically improved my musical ability and my leadership skills. Most importantly I have learned the value of a job well done.

Music is a large part of our daily lives. You hear it in the car, at a restaurant, in the mall and on television. Fortunately, it is truly inescapable. Music is art that is meant to tell stories, trigger emotions and describe experiences. It is commonly scaled by rhythm, timbre, pitch, harmony and tempo.

I use my music to realize what I can do. It reminds me that I am still human, what kind of human doesn’t like to listen to music, it just lets me now I am doing good for myself, and I need to male sure I still have myself in check in reality, and to keeping being me. It captivates and motivates. As I attended a concert on Saturday, November 7, 2015, Lynyrd Skynyrd performed with power and feeling to their audience.

At a young age, I constantly wanted to express myself through music. I always found a way to incorporate music into my daily life, whether it be by blasting my favorite music, creating my own funky songs, or even having the opportunity to participate in my elementary school choir. Music has always been a part of my life. In definition, it is “vocal or instrumental sounds combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.” Ever since I was a young child, I have loved music. The strong, steady beats, the entrancing melodies, and the lyrics that vary between heartwarming and heart-wrenching have always had an unexplainable effect on my life. Music seems to have the ability to change certain aspects of my world.

Mainly, listening to music has the ability to boost up a person’s mood instantaneously, affecting a person inner mind where different negative thoughts feed on a person’s abhorrence. For an example, listening to music while driving can positively rock mood instantly. In addition, listening to music can have a largely effect on a person’s minds and a person’s body. Later, listening to music also reduces stress, anxiety and depression that lead a person becoming calm and soothing. Some experts said music really does help people lead to a better mood and get in touch with their feelings.
