Some topics that will be discussed in this paper will be how an individual can apply the top three critical thinking skills at work, school, and throughout everyday life. Likewise, the other items that will be clarified is the meaning of each of these critical thinking skills. The top three critical thinking skills are to analyze, synthesize, and to evaluate. These skills are a central facet of everyday life and to know how to properly use them will help in the long run. Each of these skills build off each other and it would be good to know what these skills mean in their entirety. Analyze
There are several ways that one can apply this individual critical thinking skill at work, in school, and throughout life. To analyze means to break material into essential components, determining the way the components would connect with each other and also to a general objective or framework via differentiating, organizing, and also attributing (Forehand, 2010). Another way to describe what analysis means is to think could the student distinguish between the various components. The ability to think is an innate action that, for the most part, all people possess. Nonetheless, not everybody has the ability or knowledge of how to develop this quality into something greater and beneficial. Critical thinking is not inherent; rather the skills necessary to think analytically must be learned and practiced with an open mind. It involves listening with the intent of understanding others, drawing conclusions based on strong evidence and asking curiously about the situation. Not only must one be willing to evaluate a situation slowly and thoroughly, but one must also respect the views of others and accept the possibility of being wrong.

I was able to use critical thinking skills in a variety of ways when I used questioning, researching, analyzing, and evaluating to create a piece of work. Also, I was able to analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and apply information from a variety of sources when I researched on my topic to write an essay and then complete a lesson activity relating to my piece of writing. Additionally, I was able to think metacognitively to become more aware of my own learning processes when I progressed toward the completion of a task by following a series of steps. Likewise, I learned how observing my writing through time can be very effective towards my writing process.

It becomes less complicated to understand foreign ideas as skills to analyze complex information develop. She shares three main points to follow as a thinker. You must have the right attitude and world perspective, understand the analytical process, and last use evidence to come up with an opinion or a solution to a problem.
Critical thinking is relevant in a few different aspects of life. For example, critical thinking can be applied to school and learning. There are people who support using different aspects of critical thinking in students curriculum. Laura Hummell said, "Critical thinking skill development is crucial in elementary schools. Students who are allowed to explore, empathize, question, hypothesize, conceptualize, experiment, and evaluate throughout their own learning become productive community members" (Hummell 5).
The article, “ Identifying Thinking Skills for Instruction in Your Classroom,” written by Deborah E. Burns, addresses and explains the taxonomy of Thinking Skills by focusing on the four major thinking skill categories, including: Analytical Reasoning Skills, Critical Thinking Skills, Organizational Thinking Skills, and Creative Thinking Skills. In the article, Burns explains the purpose of the taxonomy was to identify, “thinking skills that were most frequently addressed in the professional literature and within the various thinking skills programs and materials” (Burns D.E., 1993). Burns uses the article to provide strategies and examples in order for educators to successfully implement the taxonomy and thinking skills in different classroom settings. The article provides multiple outlets to provide the stimulus needed to exercise the Thinking Skills highlighted in the article.
Willingham (2007) investigate the challenges of teaching fault-finding thinking in his article, "Critical Thinking: Why Is It So Hard to Teach?" He demonstrates that "the mental actions that are typically named critical thinking are indeed a subset of three types of thinking: reasoning, making judgments and conclusions, and problem-solving" (Willingham, 2007). This outlook emphasizes the complex type of critical thinking and highlights the need for a inclusive approach to education that promotes these skills. In order to think more critically about my topic, there are three ways that I could create a more critical line of thought.
