Critical thinking is a way of thinking it is the process of analyzing, applying, and evaluating information with problem solving abilities. Critical thinking greatly improves a person’s thinking. This is the process that will determine whether the outcome of a problem is right or wrong. The critical thinking process is the mindset to make effective decisions based upon verified and truthful information. The steps to critical thinking are remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating. Remembering is recalling the facts of the event. Dividing the situation into parts or steps is the analyzing step. Evaluating is the step you need to rate the usefulness, truth, or equalities of the situation. Creating in the critical thinking process is the last event this is the process needed to invent something for the successful outcome based on my ideas. These are all the strategies that are in demand to have a successful outcome to an event using critical thinking. Having a critical approach is very meaningful in my opinion. I use critical thinking skills on a daily basis; critical thinking skills benefit me with finding the necessary information I need to problem solve. I try to analyze the situation before I react. Serious critical thinking skills are needed to self-learn. I have always been a great judge of character and constantly use critical thinking skills to support myself although there is room for self-improvement. The Ethical Lens Inventory is a tool to guide a person to strengthen their reading skills. My weakness or blind spot continues to be expanding my vocabulary. I have always had a weakness with compare and contrasting words. Muscle reading is a test on the ELI; this is a test that will aid to read actively and to stay engaged. Critical thinking is a high level of cognitive skills that helps us communicate and understand things effectively. In the You Tube video "Stossel Testing Therapeutic Touch," I found it was really interesting how the participants were given a placebo and yet most of them felt all these beneficial sleep changes. The power of the mind is amazing because if you believe it will work most likely you will feel that it did. My mother has all these crazy beliefs and I recall when I was bout 8 years old a bee stung me on my hand. I was crying and my mom told me if I wanted to get rid of the pain I had to get a pregnant woman to rub sugar on the wound.
The ability to think is an innate action that, for the most part, all people possess. Nonetheless, not everybody has the ability or knowledge of how to develop this quality into something greater and beneficial. Critical thinking is not inherent; rather the skills necessary to think analytically must be learned and practiced with an open mind. It involves listening with the intent of understanding others, drawing conclusions based on strong evidence and asking curiously about the situation. Not only must one be willing to evaluate a situation slowly and thoroughly, but one must also respect the views of others and accept the possibility of being wrong.

Absolutely, critical thinking should be an everyday occurrence, although, most do not apply it in every situation. In fact, Facione is mentioned in the seven habits of positive critical thinking. Evidently, principles in generic function are considered the corner stone to build a persuasive argument and intuitive thinking process. For example, we look at the true-life movie about a dolphin that lost his tail to an unfortunate situation titled “Dolphins Tail” produced by Warner Bros. Surprisingly, in this video there were certain scenes depicted to demonstrate Facione’s seven critical thinking criteria.
I was able to use critical thinking skills in a variety of ways when I used questioning, researching, analyzing, and evaluating to create a piece of work. Also, I was able to analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and apply information from a variety of sources when I researched on my topic to write an essay and then complete a lesson activity relating to my piece of writing. Additionally, I was able to think metacognitively to become more aware of my own learning processes when I progressed toward the completion of a task by following a series of steps. Likewise, I learned how observing my writing through time can be very effective towards my writing process.

It becomes less complicated to understand foreign ideas as skills to analyze complex information develop. She shares three main points to follow as a thinker. You must have the right attitude and world perspective, understand the analytical process, and last use evidence to come up with an opinion or a solution to a problem.
Critical thinking is relevant in a few different aspects of life. For example, critical thinking can be applied to school and learning. There are people who support using different aspects of critical thinking in students curriculum. Laura Hummell said, "Critical thinking skill development is crucial in elementary schools. Students who are allowed to explore, empathize, question, hypothesize, conceptualize, experiment, and evaluate throughout their own learning become productive community members" (Hummell 5).
As for my professional experience on the knowledge on critical thinking these strategies will help support the thinking process that I can give and help deliver the information to my students in the proper form. This will also help my students with the lectures that I teach in class, to understand the theory, help social skills, and as well as work ethics. Additionally, it requires participants to use an in-depth method of thought called critical thinking. This process will challenge them to look at different aspects of why the event happened, and they might find that they had a misconceived understanding beforehand and, that, has changed as they explore further and internalise what they have learned.
