The Controversial Case Of Nicola Sacco And Bartolomeo Vanzetti

He was arrested in January for the murder while he was under the supervision of the Department of Corrections for a methamphetamine

The Sacco Vanzetti trial was a trial that occurred during the time of the Red scare where people feared and accused others of communism. Unfortunately for these two italian men known as Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were accused of robbery and murder at the Slater and Morrill shoe factory in South Braintree in 1921. Later on both men were executed on April, 9 1927. The Sacco and Vanzetti trial was considered a witch hunt due to the red scare and the little evidence that was disproven.

Cornelius Mahony was born in County Cork, Ireland on December of 1828 to Timothy and Mary Mahony. At seventeen years old, he made the journey to the new country, the United States. Many speculate that he came over for new beginnings due to hardship in the potato famine. He stayed in New York for a couple of years where he met his wife, Bridget Fitzgibbon (Somers). Bridget was also Irish.

On July 6, 2010, both of them were scheduled for their sentence in the United States District Court in Honolulu, Hawaii, but they failed to appear. For this type of crime, the FBI is rewarding $10,000 for information leading to the Dimitrions'

I located the KPD Rape Case 15-27355 which identified a subject named Ricardo Oropeza-Quiroz (DOB 12-30-1993) as being contacted with Hicks. It was also determined that Oropeza-Quiroz was an involved party in KPD Hit and Run Case 15-22411. In the Rape case, Hicks and Oropeza-Quiroz were people of interest. That case is still under investigation.

Mederos also knew all the evidence even some that wasn’t released like the fact that there were two cars involved in the crime. Not only did the Mederos appeal show strong hope at the beginning for Sacco and Vanzetti but there were also over a dozen eye witnesses who say they saw Vanzetti on the night of the crime. Sadly though, these witnesses were ruled unreliable because they were Italians. If it wasn’t for the racial prejudice at the time, Sacco and Vanzetti might have lived. After fleeing, he settled in Florida. He was placed with a foster family in Orange County, Florida, until his parents got to the US in 1966. He studied hard and received both his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Juris Doctor (J.D.) degrees from Florida

Squanto lived a very brave and fulfilling life that help Native Americans become more respected by the Englishmen. He was born in 1580, close to Plymouth, Massachusetts. Not much was really developed about his early childhood. In 1614, an English explorer named, Thomas Hunt, captured him. Squanto was then brought to Spain where he was immediately sold into slavery.

Their names were Betty Lou Jensen, age 16, and David Arthur Faraday, age 17. They were killed the same night on December 20, 1968 on Lake Herman Road within the city limits of Benicia. The next Victims were Cecilia Ann Shepard, age 22, and Bryan Calvin Hartnell, age 20. They were stabbed the same night on September 27, 1969 in Nappa County. Nappa County is now referred to as “Zodiac Island”.

The Color of Justice There are countless injustices in America’s judicial system because of racism, whether it be subconscious or completely conscious. The racism deeply embedded within the American Judicial System needs to be radically reconstructed. Racism has to be recognized and then legally obliterated in order for African American men and women to ever receive a fair treatment by our justice system. The same subconscious racism that results in unfair and prejudicial treatment by judges and juries starts young, at home and in schools.

It was not only about what he wanted, it was about what the people wanted to hear. He did not just want to make his stories, he was striving to catch the eye of the readers. Italo Calvino’s writings were inspired mainly by his experiences in the war and acquaintances.

Christopher Columbus is a man who is commonly depicted as a hero and great explorer who discovered our modern day America, but many of the so called “facts” are not all completely true as people would like to believe. Columbus was undoubtedly a courageous explorer who brought many new ideas, cultures, and resources to be exchanged between the New World and Europe. While this is true, it is not uncommon for people to forget the harmful effects brought along with the voyages made by Columbus and the darker details of his times in America. Columbus started from humble middle class family. Columbus was born in 1451 in the Republic of Genoa as the oldest of his four siblings.

In Walter Mosley's fictional short story, "Equal Opportunity" (1995), he describes racial discrimination through the character of Socrates Fortlow, an African American ex-convict attempting to find employment. Socrates has been out of “prison eight years and is fifty-eight years old, he is ready to start life over again,” (Mosley 1). Socrates Fortlow, the convict much like Socrates the philosopher “struggles with questions of good and evil with the seriousness suggested by his name.” (Mosley 2625).

Can you imagine that you are being discriminated because of who you are? For instance, imagine that you still cannot be promoted in your jobs even you are brilliant at it, or you are being mocked and ignored at school because of the color of your skins, religions or disabilities.
