Thank you Veterans Veterans do a lot for us by defending our country and our home. We thank them by having a full day dedicated to our veterans. Three reasons that I think veterans should be thanked for are; going out to defend our country when no ones else does, I also want to thank you for demonstrating a great work ethic and doing all of this work for people you don’t even know.
The first thing I want to thank you for was for defending our country. I say this to you because it is all of this country 's veterans that make this country great, and this country would be a total disaster without you. I also want to say this because you chose to defend this country and without you there would be no army and no military, so I thank you veterans
Introduction The exercise to establish the number of homeless people in the United States is of critical significance. Homelessness poses immense challenges to efforts aimed at controlling infectious diseases and renders the homeless at immense risk of serious mental and physical health effects. This subject is particularly becomes sensitive on considering the significant number of homeless veterans in the US. Especially in the recent past, homelessness has emerged as a costly problem.
In conclusion, we should always remember those who fought and are still fighting for us not just one time a year but everyday. We should be thankful for a veteran, because we have freedom to do the things we love where some countries do not get that privilege. We can hunt , fish, play basketball and see our friends and family. Some countries don’t get the freedom that we do.
I myself have to think sometimes about what other people might be going through, even though we have freedom over here, there are many wars happening and many people losing their lives. To me, a veteran is a hero in disguise that live among ordinary people and live ordinary lives. Veterans are people who make sure that when we die, we will die in peace on the very soil where they have walked. They dedicate themselves to defend a nation
Whether it is having a moment of silence, or just thanking a veteran, it is important that we do something. They sacrificed a lot for us, and we need to show our appreciation. Memorial day and Veterans day get confused, Memorial day is honoring veterans who have passed away, Veterans day is to honor ALL veterans. They risked or even lost their lives for us and for our country. We need to show them that what they did for us
I have a few people in my family that are veterans. Their service means alot to me. I admire them for their for their bravery and loyalty to their country. They inspire me in many ways such as to be brave even if the situation requires only a small act of bravery, and to speak out against something I know is wrong. To me veterans need to be honored every day for their service.
Ninety-eight years ago, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice was declared between Germany and the Allied Nations in World War I. One year later, it was celebrated as Armistice Day to honor the cause of world peace. After World War II and the Korean War, it was renamed Veterans Day, dedicated to American veterans from any war. The transition from Armistice Day to Veterans Day seems appropriate, for we would not have peace if we did not have veterans. But the implication that veterans are mere preservers of order is a vast misrepresentation; they do much more for our nation.
Hope Winston Churchill said “The future is unknowable, but the past should give us hope”. Churchill understood that without the wars, struggles, and hardships that America has been through in the past, we wouldn 't be living in this free country with the hopes that we have today. Without the patriots we had back then, we wouldn 't be here today. On July 4th 1776 America gained its Independence from England. Everyday since then thousands of soldiers risk their lives for our freedom and to secure this independance.
Veteran Benefits The issue of veteran benefits in the United States is not taken as seriously as it should be in our country, even though it is a growing problem that needs to be addressed. The lack of available funding for veterans is especially obvious when compared to that available for lower income citizens, or even illegal immigrants. Also, what does exist appears to fall short in taking care of veteran’s needs. Considering that these veterans are people who have risked their lives fighting for this country, the fact that they are not receiving immediate benefits or even what they have earned is unfair.
There are a lot of important reasons why we should honor our veterans. One of the biggest reasons we should honor our veterans is because they risked their lives to protect ours. In some of the scariest, if not the scariest, situations in the world, thousands of soldiers bravely fought for our freedom. Even though they knew the risks, they still decided to go into the military. To this day, many veterans still face side effects of war.
In the recent years, the number of mental health professionals providing for the military has dwindled, there is almost no combat-specific psychologists left, and the wait time to be treated for a mental health issue by the Department of Veterans Affairs has drastically increased. Examining MilitaryOneSource and the Department of Veterans Affairs, two of the most highly regarded military health providers, the lack of mental health services for veterans and active duty members has diminished and has resulted in a multitude of veterans going untreated or even ending their own life instead of receiving the help they
Why We Honor Our Veterans Do you know someone who is a veteran, perhaps a family member or a friend? Do you know what they had to go through? How they risked their lives for you and our country. Well today I am going to tell you what they had to go throw, what they sacrificed, and why they served.
This day is a time of love, sorrow, and history as we honor the veterans who served for our great nation. All my life my school has hosted a program on Veterans Day. This assembly has always been one of my favorite parts of the year. When you enter the room, it feels like an ordinary day. But by the time you leave you feel like a true American.
Homeless veterans need more help After all the things that homeless veterans have done for this country, they need more help. Many times, veterans will be seriously injured while in service. Whether it’s a physical or mental injury, they are serious.
I just want to thank our veterans for everything that they have done. In this essay I am going to write about what I am grateful for, how hard it is to be away from your family, the sacrifices that I think they have made, what they are doing for our country, and some facts. I think this will be a good topic for me because my great grandpa fought in World War 2. I will never forget him. So I hope you like it
In the United States thousands of veterans are not able to leave behind the horrors and traumatic events they experience while at war. They bring the war home and have to re-experience it in their minds each and every day, no matter how much time has passed since their last battle or traumatic
