I just want to thank our veterans for everything that they have done. In this essay I am going to write about what I am grateful for, how hard it is to be away from your family, the sacrifices that I think they have made, what they are doing for our country, and some facts. I think this will be a good topic for me because my great grandpa fought in World War 2. I will never forget him. So I hope you like it and I’m going to get started. I am so grateful for all the people that put there life on the line to help our country. They have made many sacrifices just to help people, and ninety percent of those people, they don’t even know. That takes a whole lot of heart. It would be so hard to be away from your family for even a month, let alone a year. Imagine how hard it would be to miss the birth of one of your children. I appreciate all the things that they have done to help our country. Whether they fight in the army or work with the science or computers in the army. I can’t imagine the feeling of your family thinking and worrying about you every second of their lives. I would never have the guts to volunteer for the army.
