Statement Of Purpose For The National Junior Honor Society

I, personally, believe that I demonstrate this quality exceptionally well, causing me to be an excellent candidate for NJHS. To corroborate on why I think of myself this way, we can look to one of my personal experiences: my experience at the Dawson College Bound Summer Summit. Towards the end of my sixth grade year, my science teacher, Mrs. Kuhlman, informed me that I have been nominated to join the selective Dawson College Bound Summer Summit program--a program in which about sixty or so sixth grade students out of the Clark County School District are asked to apply to participate in attending their prestigious school for four weeks during the sixth and seventh grade summer vacation (link to website). Dazzled by the description of the program and the fact that I was selected to apply, I immediately filled out the online form, exerting as much effort in the application as possible.

My name is Caleneigh Fonseca. I would appreciate being considered for NJHS because I will be better able to aid my community, schoolmates, and future. I would be a great candidate for the National Junior Honor society. I believe this because I am hard-working, great with people, helpful, open-minded, and stand for what I believe in. One of the reasons I believe I would be a significant candidate for this position is that I am hard-working.

Between writing a speech for Student Council, an application for NJHS, and trying to keep my grades at their best, I realized that if you want something, you have to work hard for it. Of course, this was something I already knew, but in seventh grade, these things all became much clearer. Now, more than ever, after seeing the results of working hard, I want to persevere and become a better person. This is exactly why I want to become an officer for NJHS, to not only help others, but strengthen my character. I believe that I’d make a great officer for many reasons, one of which being my passion for helping other people.

Firstly, I would like to express my interest in becoming a member of National Junior Honor Society, for the reason that it means that I will be able to commit to the organization and will be able to take advantage of the privilege of joining the organization. There is so much I would like and enjoy about being involved in NJHS over the course of my lifetime. In addition, we had the chance to develop our leadership skills, character, and citizenship as well as interact with other groups of kids along the way. As a Web leader for the PVMS, I have shown leadership and can contribute to the PVMS chapter of the NJHS in many ways. WEB is where we will be helping kids in PVMS who are younger than us and are 5th graders that are unfamiliar with this

Being selected and serving in The National Honor Society would truly be a honor. Being selected into this program would be important to me because of the opportunities it offers. I have heard of The National Honor Society but never had to the chance to serve in it. This being my first time would really allow me to immerse myself in beneficial learning and serving along side my peers. I will be able to expand my leadership skills while being able to serve my community that I longing wanted to give back to because of all it has given me throughout my life here in Columbus.

Both in and out of school I support the Five Pillars of the NJHS, which are scholarship, service, citizenship, character, and leadership. The National Junior Honor Society will be an opportunity for me to show that even with a learning disability like dyslexia. Hard work strong determination and willingness you can overcome any obstacles you face. I know I can be a valuable member of the NJHS because, I carry all the qualities required by this organization: character, citizenship, leadership and service.

The National Honor Society is based off of four pillars; Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Scholarship is one of the most important pillars to me. Scholarship means not only doing well in school and getting good grades, but applying what I have learned and using it everyday. I know the importance of education and feel that I am a lifelong learner. I feel very fortunate to have been raised in a family where education is a priority.

I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. National Junior Honor Society is the start of everything. This group helps set me up for my years to come. Being in the NJHS it helps me get into the one in high school, which looks really good one college applications. Having national junior honor society for both middle school and high school would give me a better chance to get into a college I really want to get into.
