The two stories “Being Prey” and “A Sound of Thunder” they have many similarities and differences between the three topics the following paragraphs will be about. The two stories are comparing the conflicts, settings, and main characters. In the new paragraphs I will be comparing these topics between the two readings. The paragraphs will tell about how both of the stories show similar ideas and differences on each topic. In the two stories “A Sound of Thunder” and “Being Prey”, they have many similarities and differences. Most of the between the two for setting. For example, in the story “A Sound of Thunder” the time that the story takes place in is in the year 2055 in the future in a prehistoric jungle and in the other story “Being Prey” it takes place in the present years in Australia in a swamp. A similarity is that the two charterers both were getting hunted by reptiles but one of them is a crocodile and the other was a dinosaur. One last similarity between the two are that the main characters were not supposed to be where they were, Plumwood was not supposed to be in the swamp where she was cannoning and Eckles …show more content…

For example, in the story “A Sound of Thunder” the character stepped off the path, that the people on the trip were not supposed to step off and in the other story “Being Prey”, Plumwood went too far out in the swamp to where all of the crocodiles were. Another difference between the two stories were, Eckles in the story “Sound of Thunder” he got shot and killed. Unlike in the other story where Plumwood just got attacked by the crocodile, she didn’t die. One last similarity between the two are that both of the main characters did not listen to the warnings that they were both given in the beginning of both stories.
