Clara Brown was a slave. She was born in 1800-1885. She was married at the age of 18 to another slave together. They had 4 children. In 1853 Brown 's family was broken apart and sold to different slave owners.

Now like you and I, most people have childhoods. Holiday was born on April 7th, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was originally born as ‘Elinore Harris’ but later changed her name to ‘Billie’, in 1930, in honor of the film star Billie Dove. Sarah Julia Fagan was her mother, who had Billie when she was only a teenager, who passed away in the October of 1945. Her father, Clarence Holiday, was a successful jazz musician.

Welcome to what once was Newark New Jersey! Today the city of Santabellum is celebrating it’s 424th birthday, and finally it’s renaming ceremony. Newark was established on the 31st of October, 1693. It is in the Northern part of New Jersey. Just North of the city of Elizabeth.

Selena's Musical Career Selena Quintanilla Pérez was a famous Mexican-American singer. Selena had an amazing career in the making. Selena sang Disco, Tejano, and Technocumbia music whenever ever she performed. Selena had it rough growing up as a singer because she was a girl.

Rosemary Brown was a Canadian politician that was born in Kingston Jamaica on 17th June 1930. She was raised by her mother and grand-mother, since her father died when she was very young. She grew up in a middle class neighbourhood and she described her childhood being supportive and safe, in a house ruled by women. Rosemary Brown came to Canada on 10th August 1950 to get an education at McGill University in Montreal. She was shocked by the sexism and racism she experienced while she was trying to obtain housing or summer jobs or just trying to fit into her university life.

Eventually, we are moving back to Dallas TX, where my brothers are working in a granite company. I applied and got a job with them, I used to ride with them until I got my first car. It was an old and ugly purple car we used to call it the “Camaro” because it was so loud and it made sounds from far people would think is a real nice and pretty car. My baby was born a couple of months after it was a beautiful girl she was the most precious thing I had ever seen, I fell in love once again and again with another beautiful daughter two years later. The company I had been working with repositioned me and wanted me to do a couple of jobs in Houston, TX.

I woke up every morning before dawn to work a full day in agriculture and ended the day singing with kids from the hostel. The work was hard and exhausting, however at the end of our two weeks, I cried. Not for the work, but for the people whom I had worked with. We could barely speak to one another, but created a relationship out of hugs, smiles, and laughs. I learned a great deal about myself, about the strength I had and what I was capable of.

I meet ambassadors from around the world, and I was able to speak with amazing musicians and performers. While in Hawaii, I snorkeled in Hanauma Bay, hiked Diamond Head volcano, and visited Pearl Harbor. I will never forget the friendships that I forged all because of music. I began as a naïve middle schooler and transformed myself into a confident performer and student. I now carry a sense of pride because I finally completed my dream.

I am a very unique one of a kind person you will never find someone else like me. When I was going up I didn’t grow up in the nicest neighborhood. I had to stay at my house at all times. As a kid you would want to go out play ball with the neighborhood kids and get dirty. But none of that was there when I grew up.

I believe that someone's experiences shape their character into what it is today. Four and a half years ago my life was changed forever when my younger cousin, Jake Talbot, was admitted into Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He was there for a little over a month, with severe pancreatitis, when during one of his many MRI scans his doctor ordered a CT scan to get a closer look at his pancreas. On May 13th, 2011, Jake was diagnosed with a rare form of Stage 4 Lymphoma. He had cancer in his liver, lungs, and a large one on his pancreas and left arm.

While loss is inevitable, it's better to hold onto hope, to approach life with an attitude that will allow you to succeed. Whether you leave that small town and become a star, retire peacefully surrounded by your friends, or get the land you’ve always

What is the definition of a good person? The view of a good person changes as time goes on. However, the Odyssey is still the foundation of human morality. The Odyssey, created by Homer, is an ancient telling of a man named Odysseus and his journey home from the Trojan War. The morals found in the Odyssey show readers the benefit of being able to view situations from multiple points of view.

My definition of knowledge is a true fact or justified belief that is acquired through a persons experience and education. To a great extent, faith does play a role in deciding if knowledge we acquire has purpose and meaning in our lives however, sometimes faith does not play a role. Personal lives refers to our day to day life and how knowledge provides us with meaning and purpose in it. Its how we take shared knowledge and apply it to our individual perceptions and perspectives of our lives. Knowledge provides with the understanding of the world and gives us meaning in life.

There are a lot of things in this world that would make the world a better place. And I feel that being a welder and working in sports medicine are two of them. I know that those two fields of work would affect the world around me. I would maybe one day work for the NFL and help all the players get better. Me helping the players will make the world better because everyone loves football.

I cannot recall any other time I experienced so much joy and satisfaction. It was on the warmth of a spring day in March, 2015. After finishing the spring semester at high school, the school gives students a one-week holiday to relax or to go somewhere. A beach trip in the spring is always a good idea for us who live near the sea, but this time I was on the bus with my classmates heading to the airport. The school had organized a Habitat Trip to the Philippines, where my classmates and I decided to go to build houses.
