The Most Memorable Vacation
A memorable vacation is one that you can never forget. I never thought I would build houses for poor people. It was one of my most memorable experiences in my life. What made it even more memorable was the fact it was my first time to go to a foreign country to help other people build houses. I cannot recall any other time I experienced so much joy and satisfaction. It was on the warmth of a spring day in March, 2015. After finishing the spring semester at high school, the school gives students a one-week holiday to relax or to go somewhere. A beach trip in the spring is always a good idea for us who live near the sea, but this time I was on the bus with my classmates heading to the airport. The school had organized a Habitat Trip to the Philippines, where my classmates and I decided to go to build houses. The trip was such an unforgettable vacation for me with many different emotions such as happiness because of building houses, playing with some poor kids, and experiencing the beauty of nature. Sometimes, when I recall, it seemed like only yesterday.
It’s really a happy trip. I can still remember how excited I was when waiting for departure in the Dammam airport. Everyone was wondering what the Philippine would look like and how we were going to build houses. After the pilot made the announcement of taking off, the plane lifted off the runway. We arrived in Manila at night, everybody was so exhausted that we went to bed as soon as we reached our
On Friday October 16, 2015 I went on the Play Along The Pennypack Outing. I thought it was a great experience to see how kids act when they are out in the woods and really allowed to roam and do whatever they want. The one thing I learned from my experience was that kids are really self-sufficient. They ran off by themselves and we just stood back watching. I was amazed on how the kids would go off in there own groups and did there own thing.
People always told me that money can’t buy happiness, but I never truly experienced what that meant until I met the people of Honduras. The country and the people had an impact on me and on how I see the world. In my interactions with the people and culture of Honduras, among some very challenging living conditions, I was inspired by their love of family, welcoming attitude, and joy of life. For me, Honduras was like a mirror for me to look in and see my own life compared to the Hondurans’. If I brought back one thing with me, it was the desire to be like them in how I face life, love family and friends, and be filled with joy.
A life changing event that occurred was when I moved from West Virginia to Arizona. Which was a tremendous trip which took about two thousand miles,by driving. On our way to the desert my family and I stopped at campgrounds, resorts was memorable. It provided me with a new aspect of how truly large the world is. While stopping at campgrounds along the road to Arizona I was able to admire the scenes, explore the town metaphorically speaking.
There is absolutely nothing better than spending a week on vacation with your friends. This last summer, I went to the Free Lutheran Youth (FLY) convention. FLY is a large get-together where Lutheran teenagers from all over the country meet and worship. Those of us who attend Bethel Lutheran Church decided to fundraise and attend the FLY convention. This year was the first time I have attended; it literally changed my outlook on life.
It was getting to the time of takeoff so I saluted the captain and headed toward my seat. I got to my seat and there was a screen where we could watch movies; it was all in English though but they had Portuguese subtitles which helped me. About 10 min into the movie, the plane started to move. I grabbed my mother’s arm and held it tight.
Imagine being subjected to the solitude of the mountains, going a week without a proper toilet, clean water, or even cell service. Walking miles upon miles, in seemingly hellish temperature just to do something for someone else. Welcome to my journey last February. Roughly a year ago, I endured a week-long Mission Trip in Guatemala. First reading that thoughts probably came up along the lines of "oh that's neat, but what's so fun about that?
I have always enjoyed exploring the world, but the adventure that always sticks out the most was my cruise to the tropical paradise of Bermuda. I have cruised to the Bahamas, as well as spent countless weeks of my lifetime in the Outer Banks. The cruise to Bermuda was only my second time out of the country, leaving from Baltimore, Maryland one Friday afternoon and arriving on the shores of the tropical island on Sunday afternoon. Waking up on a Saturday in the beginning of August and being able to look out the window and seeing water for as far as you can see is a one time thing and an experience like no other. The days spent traveling the open seas, gives you the chance to live life while leaving all of your baggage back on shore.
In today’s fast-paced world, there is nothing more valued than the time carved out for a relaxing vacation. Vacations are a much needed time to relax from the drudgery of everyday life and to spend time enjoying family. As a native Texan, I have vacationed in all the major cities of Texas and each city has its own distinct atmosphere and attributes. Dallas is as different from Houston as Houston is from Austin. While all of these cities are worth visiting, if time or money limits choices and only one can be chosen, then San Antonio is the place to visit.
When I contemplate about my years at Pine Forge Academy I realized that I had numerous fond memories. "Little Lake” was a factory that made redwood patio furniture. While on the bus to Little Lake I recall how the group of students would make up songs to sing and how fantastic we sounded. I remembered the long days and how many of us would return to the campus covered with wood shavings. I reminisce on the many summers that I did not return home for summer vacations.
My Personal narrative My trip to Cancun was so good between the ice cream and the pools. That was one of the most outstanding experiences of my life. OH well, I should probably tell you the story. Well we start in the Detroit airport and my brother was very hyperactive and about to take a pee in the car when we arrived.
Being very fortunate to travel, my wife and I decided to traveo to Hawaii. It was our first trip to that paradisaical place. The experience was fabulous from the very beginning. We flew to the island, and before the plane could land, we were amazed at beautiful blue and clarity of the sea. As we reached towards the beach we were able to see the bottom of the ocean.
My Trip to Florida It was a cold winter night in Upstate New York. My mom and dad were enjoying a cup of coffee, my sisters were playing video games, and I was editing a few pictures on my computer. My mom brought up the idea of a vacation. She said” We haven’t been on a vacation for a long time”.
The importance of Spring Break is to take advantage of sleeping well ,but also have quality time with your family. Therefore, mostly Spring Break is to take time off of school and not worry about any homework we may or may not have. What I liked about my Spring Break was traveling to the RGV Livestock Show in Mercedes, TX. My family wanted to go to the Livestock Show for this in fact an amazing rodeo they have every year, but majority the food is the best out of everything there. For example, my parents wanted to come to this event since it’s every year once a month only in March.
