4.1 “just do it”. I spend majority of my time just thinking about how I am going to get the assignment done. By the time I start the assignment it feels like I been working on it forever, when in reality I just started. When am given an assignment I need to work on it as soon as I find free time.
“to eat an elephant, first cut it into same pieces”. This is something I need to learn how to do. I am a procrastinator. Trying to tackle a 50point assignment overnight is the key to failure. When I divide my workload into pieces that when I get the best results.
4.2 I would say the student is primarily responsible because she shouldn’t have wait until last minutes. Especially since she knows her processor was strict. For future references I would tell her to make sure she haves her assignment completely done and print out a day before

psychology would be my most challenging. All though it my favorite subject it’s not an easy class. I have a really hard time with the terms used in psychology. I got a D on my first text which was very depressing, but now I know what to expect and I now know what kind of notes I should be taking. My goal is to get a B in that class and I am very confident I can achieve that.
3. I think I should be able to handle the workload this semester well. It’s pretty much what I was expecting when I decide to attend college.
4. My work schedule is something that I need to adjust in order to succeed this semester. I work long hours and 6 days out the week. I have asked to be part time so my schedule should be changing any time soon.
4.4 reflection
1. the workload is what I expected. What I wasn’t expecting was the amount of time I would need to set aside a week to study.
2. psychology is the class that demand the most amount of time out side of the class. I been able to complete all the homework outside of class, now I need to find the best way to study for the tests.
3. cutting my work schedule would be the only way I would have more time to

Overall, I believe the assignments were a glimpse into what to expect in later semesters, especially with how overbearing tasks will be especially in my
As in any class worth taking I expect there to be challenges when dealing with the course material
This semester I am finally taking my core classes. So far, it has been both exciting and intimidating. It has been exciting because I am finally learning about something that I am passionate about. It has been intimidating because it is the field in which I will be working. As of right now the class that I am enjoying the most is human services methods.
In the movie Short Term 12, a drama about a foster-care facility for troubled teenagers portrays the emotional journey of the teenagers and the staff running the facility. A troubled teenage girl named Jayden is brought into Short Term 12 because her father is not able to deal with her. Jayden has a past of self-harm and upon arrival is disinterested in befriending the other adolescents as she is not interested in “wasting time on short-term relationships.” Jayden displays symptoms of oppositional defiant disorder as she defies authority figures and throws tantrums. Using the illness prospective, Jayden can be diagnosed as having oppositional defiant disorder as well as depression.
Throughout the entire course I stressed myself to get my assignments done as quickly as possible. I had the mindset that I would not accept anything lower than a letter grade of C because that is just how I was raised. As a result, I just caused myself to become even more stressed by doing something I was not even capable of because I already had 5 classes I was taking and a full-time job. I realized that in order to succeed I had to be aware and acknowledge my own potential. I learned that in some situations it is just best to settle for what is good for one’s self and that it is okay to not meet other people’s
It is my desire to attend the United States Naval Academy. My goal is to follow in my father 's footsteps as an officer in the naval branch of our armed forces. My father began his career as an enlisted seaman twenty years ago and is now serving as a Lieutenant. Being the son of a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, I have always had an interest in the military and a desire to also serve and follow his footsteps. It was not until high school when I decided that I wanted to attend the Naval Academy.
I possess the experience of having lived in an underserved area and good humor necessary for the study of medicine. Medicine is a field that can be taxing on a person mentally and emotional because of the things one encounters everyday. A good sense of humor can keep up good spirits. Laughter and smiling is medicine for the soul and they are contagious. Having lived in underserved areas I used my good humor to stay in a happy place.
I learned in this activity how crucial time management skills will be to my ability to complete this course successfully. The analysis from the questionnaire (Table 2) as well as keeping a record of what activities I focus on for a couple of days, opened my eyes to a few areas of improvement. From the patterns observed I could see that most of my time was taken up by work and commitments as well as procrastination. Not being able to juggle theses successful led to irritation and was unproductive. Research suggests that managing ones emotions, being self-aware and self-motivate can be factors for success for a student (Allan, 2009).
I’m only taking 5 classes this year, which makes my life a little less stressing. My toughest subject this year was probably Economics. It was something different, a new experience. I was introduced to a whole new level of vocabulary and it was tough to memorize. I also did horrible in the tests, but I was able to push through that

I had a couple of questions as to what I should expect in this specific course such as: How many papers would we be expected to write? Would we be assigned a lot of homework? As my course started to progress my questions about what I should expect were soon answered. My expectations became clearer because I found out things such as, the course followed a schedule with specific number of assignments, we would have significant amount of time to complete each project. Starting my first independent essay, I was nervous because I have to go above and beyond when researching in order to get a good grade.
Typically I wait until the last minute to do something. This often works but it is really stressful and probably not the best thing to do. Sometimes I will just never do the assignment. To improve these habits i'm going to start setting the deadline for these assignments an few days earlier then they are assigned. This way I can make myself do it before its due.
I knew that I had some assignments to do and a midterm the next day, but I really didn’t feel like doing them. I really felt that I didn’t have the energy to do my assignments and study, but I knew that I would have to find a way. I thought about this situation and factored in the categorical imperative. It is a duty for all students to do their work because it lets the teacher know that the student is engaging in learning, and because it accelerates the student’s knowledge. Additionally, the student is aware of the workload before deciding to take the class.
