Cancer is an uncontrollable disease within the body killing tons of people each day. Prostate cancer on the other hand is within the prostate gland. It is a small, walnut-sized structure making up a man’s reproductive system. Prostate cancer is mainly profound in men. Is there a real cure for this cancer that doesn’t result in death? Radical Prostatectomy is the main type of surgery for prostate cancer. Doing so, the surgeon removes the entire prostate gland and some of the tissue around it. To do the prostatectomy, the surgeon operates through a single long incision to remove the prostate and nearby tissues (American Cancer Society). The skin incision will go through your lower abdomen, from the belly button down to the pubic bone. The nerves may be removed as well if the cancer is growing in or close to them. There is another operation that only a few people use called the Radical perineal prostatectomy. This is similar to the Radical Prostatectomy except that the incision in the skin is made between the anus and scrotum. One other form of surgery is Cryosurgery. Cryosurgery is used to help cure early stage cancer, by freezing it. With this, several needles are placed through the skin between the anus and scrotum. Before any of these surgeries, you will either be put to sleep or given an epidural anesthesia. After, while still under anesthesia, a catheter will be placed in your penis to help drain the bladder for about 2 or 3 weeks while healing. Like with all things you do, there are risks. Heart attack, stroke, blood clots may appear in the leg that may travel to your lungs or an infection where the incision was
While screening tests are tremendously vital and have proved life-saving on countless occasions to ensure that individuals do not unknowingly have a certain disease, they are not always necessary. For example, this is seen in the screening test for Prostate cancer, called the Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test. As of today, the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) does not universally recommend that men get screened for Prostate cancer. The USPSTF is an important and relevant organization to follow for screening guidelines because it works to improve the health of all Americans through striving to make accurate, up-to-date, and relevant recommendations about preventative services in primary care.
In MIS the medical tool, and small image capturing device with its own source of light (endoscope) are inserted into patient body through a small (0.5 - 1.5 cm) incisions. The general name we use for MIS procedures is Endoscopy and depending on the body part operated we use different name (laparoscopy - abdominal or pelvic, arthroscopy - joint interiors, etc.) and instruments. There are some obvious advantages of Endoscopy over open surgery, advantages such as: reduced surgical trauma, decreased blood loss, smaller wound and consequent pain, less demand for painkillers in postoperative period, quicker hospitalization and full physical activity recovery, and more pleasant external look of the scar. However, some drawbacks to the method need to be mentioned. Major disadvantages being the limited access to certain internal regions of the human body and precision of the instruments used.

Many African American men are hesitant to work alongside social workers in this area, because of the cost of treatment (Ahaghotu, 2015). The cost of treatment is extremely expensive, and can be life altering for African American males with prostate cancer (Ahaghotu, 2015). This is a large issue that is impacting direct practice with this population. These clients are aware of how much each visit is to see the healthcare team. The rising costs are constantly on their mind with each visit.

The participants in this study were recruited via media advertisement, support-group meetings, and clinicians’ offices.

problem, if you cut the tumor it will grow again. Cancer is the result of a body that is nutrient deficient and is overloaded with toxins and a suppressed or overloaded immune system. If you look back at the last hundred years you will notice that the numbers of death caused by cancer has tripled. The difference between now and our ancestors is the food and exercise. They always ate fresh food and exercised because they were always working and moving around.
Introduction Urologists are on the leading edge of laparoscopic surgery. It is now considered standard of care to perform in many operations. There are many benefits of laparoscopic surgery for a patient such as less blood loss, less pain, shorter time to oral intake and shorter hospitalization compared with open surgery.1 However laparoscopic surgery is a kind of vigilant work. There is more stressful than open surgery.
The 30-day hospital admission rate increased from 0.4% in 1996 to 0.9% in 2005. For the men who did not have cancer the hospital admission rate for urological complications within 30 days of the procedure was 781/41482, about 1.9%. The 30-day hospital admission rate increased from 1.0% in 1996 to 4.1% in 2005. The majority of the hospital admission, (72%), were related in some way to an infection.

It can also help people with bone cancer that has spread beyond the bone to other areas in the body. Radiation therapy is also an option. Radiation therapy uses high-powered beams of energy to kill cancer cells.
Breast cancer is a public health issue that affects the lives’ of millions. The evidence-based Public health approach used to address health issues is known as P.E.R.I.E. Through the P.E.R.I.E process, breast cancer can be addressed and evaluate to get a better understanding, with the intentions of reducing the risk. The health problem is breast cancer. Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that is located in the cells of the breast.
Cancer is an abnormal production of cells that divide uncontrollably within the body (Black & Hogan 2006). What is more vaguely understood are the mechanisms the underlie this, the different effects on each patient, and how to stop it. Some common types of cancer are breast cancer, prostate cancer, skin cancer, leukemia, and brain cancer. Each of these various diagnoses cause different biological and psychological stresses on the patient. Because old cells do not die and instead grow out of control, often, a mass will form, otherwise known as a tumor.
