Persuasive Essay On Gun Control

It’s Valentine’s day, many believe this holiday is about celebrating love and enjoying life, but for others the death of their child. Imagine sending your child to school thinking that they would be safe from any harm and to learn. In total there has been 290 school shootings across the United States of America since 2013. These children are traumatized seeing the death of their fellow classmates and for some, sibling(s), friend(s), or even best friend(s). These children were given a week in order to recuperate from this tragic situation they were put through.

I’m against gun control because I like shooting guns. I wish gun owners weren 't limited to their selection. Because there is a law called 2nd amendment that says that you have the right to bear arms. There are a lot of people that live in america and are scared of guns and don 't like it, I think part of the reason is because the image people bring to when thought of guns, protection and hunting should be the only reason why a gun should be fired. In the United States of America, there is something called second amendment , it gives you the right to own a gun and protect and arm yourself if things went south they would have a chance.

Future Legislation Our nation has suffered too much at the hands of dangerous people who use guns to commit horrific acts of violence. As President Obama said following the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, “We won’t be able to stop every violent act, but if there is even one thing that we can do to prevent any of these events, we have a deep obligation, all of us, to try. “Most gun owners are responsible and law-abiding, and they use their guns safely. But to better protect our children and our communities from tragic mass shootings like those in Newtown, Aurora, Oak Creek, and Tucson, there are common-sense steps we can take right now.

The second amendment states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Recently, the controversy of guns and gun control has been a huge topic of discussion. In the past few months, there have been multiple shootings, including two popular mass shootings such as the one in Las Vegas and the one at the high school in Florida. Some are saying that all guns should be banned and no one should have guns, and that will result in less homicides and mass shootings. On the other hand, some say that there should not be gun control because of the second amendment, self defense and safety, and how it will not change the amount of violence in the country.

Gun control has been one of the top issues facing our country for quite some time. Recently in Texas, a bill called SB11 has been passed that allows for concealed carry of licensed weapons on campuses of higher education. College kids are stressed about balancing their social life, maintaining a good GPA, and getting enough sleep to keep themselves sane. Now those same kids are also carrying around killing machines in their back pockets. Although people believe that this new law is protecting schools from more mass shootings, I believe that allowing concealed carry on the college campus is a bad plan of action because people of that age don 't know how to react in a situation where a gun could be needed, people will abuse their "gun-rights" powers, and it has the potential to cause even more outbreaks of school shootings.

Gun violence poses a serious threat around the world, teens and adults have constant reminders of the threat. with one sound pop pop of gunshots to losing a loved one in your life, with more lives being affected and more problems and concerns gun violence becomes a very big problem, but how does gun violence affect us and the environment? how did it influence us and how to solve the problem. Gun violence is something very serious, and can have a deep impact on everyone, this includes depression, anxiety, stress and so many more. ages ago gun violence had issues and threats but not even close to today.

On, February 14, 2018, a mass school shooting in Florida got the nation’s attention, however, gun violence has always been an issue, and it is only getting worse. Now people are saying there needs to be something done, and there are many that agree. Starting off there should be stricter gun laws, because in today’s world it is too easy to get handguns and assault rifles. With, the capabilities a firearm holds, such as taking people’s lives there must be stricter restrictions that could help cut down the gun violence and save lives. Increasing the age of purchasing a firearm would be one step.

Australia has not had a mass shooting since and the number of crimes have decreased since 1996. Australia had a great success with their gun laws. The reason the united states does not have gun control laws is because Americans say that it 's taking our freedom of owning a concealed weapon and we as Americans can 't protect our families without guns.

The use of and the owning of guns is a very hot and debated topic in society today. For many, this is a life and death debate due to the recent and numerous school shootings. Despite these calls, increased gun control is not the answer. Most gun owners’ use their guns responsibly and for good purposes.

Would a classroom full of students of all races some carrying guns and some not make you feel as if your university is a safe place for you to learn? Many of our college peers would say that this would make them very uncomfortable, while others would say it makes them feel safer. Since our colleges and universities are supposed to be high learning sanctuaries, they can become treacherous places when students or faculty are carrying around concealed handguns. If an unknown number of students on campus had concealed weapons, their peers would feel a little edgy. One reason being that their peer could get into an altercation with another student and retaliate using the concealed weapon they have on them possibly resulting in someone losing their life.

Stronger gun control laws signify less acts of violence, yet the debate over U.S. gun laws has been never-ending, often resulting in tragedy and unresolved havoc, and it is vital to note that firearms are customary to segments of the U.S. because it is utilized relatively in communities, but in a state with mistrustful regulations in whereby there is a physical hazard of a prepared trespasser interfering with domestic personal privacy or distinctly mistreating the neighborhood locals would evaluate to hold one for logical measures.
