The day was June 25th around 8 years ago it was my birth-day. On this day I had a hockey tournament in the middle of the summer. Where you may be thinking how is there a hockey tournament in the midst of summer, count myself included. My father practically had to drag me out of the house as if I was two years of age. When we got to the rink we played or game but nothing really happened. The remembrance of this day would happen in the locker room. When I was getting undressed my friend jax came over to me. As a typical 8 year old we babbled on about nonsense for some time then he went away. Then when he was talking away there was a puddle of blood surrounding my foot. When I looked down I didn't even realize it but he stepped on my foot with
I do not remember my first time watching a televised hockey game or my first time going to watch the Blues at Scottrade Center, but I do know that I was hooked. My dad used to to purchase three tickets from a lady at his work to one Blues game a year. She was a season ticket holder and every season she upgraded her seats one row closer to the ice. When I went to my first game, where we sat, who St. Louis played against, or who won are all beyond my recollection, nevertheless I know that whatever events had transpired, I wanted to watch more hockey.
The clock ticked down fast up on the jumbotron as the pace of the game gets faster and quicker. Both teams screaming, shouting, cheering, and encouraging at each other, eager to advance to the next round. The game gets more physical, and players are banging the other team’s players to the boards. Coaches are yelling to give us more confidence. This is the first round of the Quebec Peewee Hockey Tournament.
On the edge of my seat I can feel my heart racing, just waiting for the clock to run down. We’re up by two and though I was watching the game at home, I could feel the energy of the crowd radiating through the television. Ten, nine, eight… the crowd begins to count down, my brother and I join in shouting, “FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE!” The buzzer sounds and the roar of the crowd comes rumbling through the speakers. The Chicago Blackhawks have just won, for the third time in six years, the 2015 Stanley Cup Championship, and
Canada Soccer First, One morning I get the most amazing news of my life! We are going to Canada. We are packed and ready to go on the eight hour trip. It’s been about 5 hours
I turned on my TV to find a classic Angels baseball game on. The first event that was shown was Pete Rose up to bat. I closed my eyes and then opened them to the ball gliding out of the pitcher's hand like a stealth bomber. Pete crushed the ball and the crowd screamed. I whispered to myself, "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine."
Baseball One day my brother and I were playing catch. Then my grandpa came up to my brother and asked if he wanted to play on a baseball team and he replied "yes". So my brother joined the team. Now then my brother and I were practicing catching and hitting the ball
Baseball was in my blood. Some of my earliest memories include batting cages with my Dad, sliding into home plate and throwing my first curve ball. By eight years old, I was playing ball year-round on travel teams and loving every minute of it. There wasn’t a doubt in my mind that this was my sport, and I would play it in high school and possibly beyond. But, during the summer of 2010, the unthinkable happened.
Jay was shooting lacrosse balls at a target, Lacrosse was his second favorite sport after hockey. Usually he would shoot to get better but this time he was shooting at his anger. What did he do to deserve this, school had just ended and spring lacrosse had just started. But this season jason couldn’t play because of his knee. He had been skiing at his family 's cabin in the cabin and torn his meniscus.
Nothing hurts more than being excluded. I learned this the hard way my sophomore year. This is a story about my high school lacrosse team. Most of my friends are on the team so we’ve become very close after playing together since the seventh grade. We play lacrosse in the backyard almost everytime we’re together.
During my short life, I have not had many life altering experiences; however, one thing that has changed me for the better is playing hockey. Since I started playing hockey in eighth grade it has been something I have become passionate about for various reasons. One reason is my love for the game in general, and more specifically for playing goalie, the one position that holds the balance of the scoreboard. The second reason is being a part of a team. This is important to me because it gives a strong sense of purpose to the player.
The Blackhawks were losing 2-1 in the 3rd period and it was around 10 or 11 pm so I went to bed. Little did I know that the Hawks pulled the greatest thing ever in the Stanley Cup finals. They scored 2 goals in 17 seconds with less than 2 minutes in the game to win the Stanley Cup. I woke up on my birthday which is June 25 to find out that the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup.
Have you ever set your house on fire? Although my house never was engulfed in flames, I did start a fire in my kitchen. Unfortunately for me, this event occurred on the first day of my sophomore year. School ended, and I immediately came home. Since I had a field hockey practice a few hours after school, I was obligated to eat my dinner earlier than I prefer.
The day I had knee surgery. On February 14th my mother woke me up with a smile on her face to lighten the mood a little, because the next morning would be the day that I would have my first surgery ever. I was really clam in the morning like any other day. It really didn 't hit me that I would have surgery
There was a boy who went by the name jeffy he liked to play hockey and he was very good at it. He was about 5,10 had blonde hair with brown eyes, Jeffy was not the biggest kid he was pretty skinny. Everyday after school he would go to the Windom Arena and he would skate and practice playing hockey. One day after he was done skating he went upstairs to the dry land room and he was working on his clap bombs and and his top cheese snipes. When all of a sudden he heard a loud horn and a scream so he dropped his pucks and stick and quickly ran down stairs to see what was going on but when he arrived there was no one there.
One of my best days was when my soccer team won the championship. I won several other championships ,but with other teams. This was my first season playing with this team. The major characters in this event were me, my teammates, my coaches and the parents. This event took place in a park at sanger during the summer.
