* Describe the intersection of your faith journey with your collegiate goals at PBA.
The intersection between my journey of faith and my personal collegiate goals is not something that can be simplistically explained, for the joining together of the two is a complicated, intertwined, beautiful, terrifying, mess of hopes and dreams. The word “intersection” is at first glance, uncomplicated, merely a definitive point at which two separate things join together for a brief moment. While my faith journey will intersect with my collegiate goals at PBA, the intersection is anything but ordinary.
A journey of faith is a way of life, much like success, the reward is in the seeking and not in a perceived destination. I know God has called me to continue my educational journey through college. To praise Him by acquiring as much knowledge about His kingdom as I

The accomplishment of my collegiate goals is a step to facilitate my development of a lifestyle seeking God. My dream is to build a worldwide business with integrity and humility founded on the values of faith, family, freedom, and unity. I see PBA as an opportunity to join a community of like-minded peers and mentors who will assist me in developing those values, and provide an unparalleled biblical education.* An education that will not only scholastically prepare me for my future endeavors, but also teach me how to better serve others, how to become a better leader, and one that that will bring me closer to God. I feel that PBA will help to strengthen my Christian worldview in a relationship with the academic and business world, and provide the opportunity for me to use my musical gifts to serve others through faith. With professors who are committed to my success, I will have the opportunity to pursue both my gifts in music and passion for business in a community of like-minded people, and be able to use these gifts to inspire and bless
When I was was younger, I was a caterpillar crawling around trying to get through life, waiting to turn into the beautiful butterfly I know I could soon become. I made good decisions along with bad ones, saw the beauty in life as well as the unpleasant. I was like everyone else trying to be their own person, but now as I look at myself in the mirror I can finally see who I really am. I see myself as the beautiful butterfly I once dreamed of becoming, ready to fly down my own path. I have been in my chrysalis and I am finally out and ready to fly into my bright future.
It is not only my intellectual curiosity, but also my passion towards giving back to the community, that will lead me to success. As a UD honors student, I plan on joining organizations and performing volunteer work that I have done in high school. It will allow me to consolidate my musical and creative passions, while participating in new extracurricular activities pertaining to sports and community service. I believe that with the University of Delaware’s many opportunities, I can have the potential to become a strong leader and active member of the UD Honors community. The lessons that I have learned from working with these children will forever remain a part of me, as I hope to grow to be someone who will one day be able to change society, and will remind me to always dare to
This passion brought me to attending Simpson College as a declared double major in Religion and Psychology.
Over the past four years at Rockhurst High School, my education and formation have had one common goal: to exemplify the school’s mission statement in my life. The mission of Rockhurst states, “In the spirit of Saint Ignatius, its goal is the formation of the whole person within a diverse and disciplined environment, as one who is open to growth, strives for academic excellence, is religious, loving and committed to justice through service.” These words have been my foundation and motivation for the past four years, but that is all they are, simply words. The Rockhurst mission statement has no real meaning unless its students truly become men for others and strive to live the Jesuit mission in their lives. This has been my challenge at Rockhurst.
Getting involved means being apart of something more, having the chance to met different people, helping out the community, but its also means learning more about who you are as a person. Starting off at Washburn University I plan to get involved right away, in activities or clubs that would help my academically and socially like the Hispanic club , Freethinkers and French club. I will set goals for myself and achieve them, some small some big. One goal I am pursuing right now is learning french and Portuguese, i plan on going to Brazil next year. School goals, are turning in my work on time, stay focused on any task that is given to me, making sure I understand what i need to do and how to do it.
Influencing my goals to see things through to the finish and to find in CCU a larger community of what I have found in the Jesus
It was difficult getting to where I am currently with trying to understand who I was? And who I am? Why I was going through what I was going through? How to understand and interpret what felt almost alien. It wasn’t until after getting into the University of South Carolina as a Biology major that I knew that that wasn’t what I was meant to be doing.
I can contribute my hard work to the Honors College community. I think that I am hardworking and I love to work with others to help solve problems because two heads are always better than one. I would contribute my ideas to the lessons and help others when they need it. I love to be able to work with other people outside my comfort zone and be able to hear their ideas and combine ideas to come up with something that will benefit everyone in the community.
Their dreams. Their freedom to have fun. For myself I have challenged myself both in academics and sports. Dual enrollment
Some of these things include: Will I be able to overcome the past failures in my life to complete my degree (Mastery in Arts of Counseling), will I have the self-esteem to be able to perform the tasks the career has entailed for me, and will I be able to uphold my contract as a learner of the Christian teachings, so that I may be there for the people that need my help with their struggles. Something that I will do differently as I travel down the college pathway is that I will prepare better, keeping my mind progressive and clean so that my time is better managed. I will also incorporate all the aspects of my life in to one learning experience , in other words I will try to connect my time at working at the food pantry, going to school, interacting with the media, and attending church. I enjoyed the video that was assigned to us regarding Andy Stanley’s lecture on choosing the path of the wisest choice.
During my next four years here at Hope College, I will be searching for what my true vocation is. Vocation can best be described
This semester has been one of many lessons and many failures. God has been laying on me the need to reexamine my desires, ambitions, and identity. Christ call on my life has been impossibly hard for this sinner submit to. God has revealed to me how many idols I have created. As D.L. Moody said, “I have had more trouble with myself than with any other man.”
Next year at Embry-Riddle I plan start studying Cyber Intelligence and Security. Ever since middle school I knew I had a developing interest in the field of computer science and spent most of my time building the skills to excel in my classes. One of the first projects I got to use the computer on was a video for the Oregon Trail. I decided that it would be best to design an advertisement to showcase the facts in a new and creative way. When my group turned the project in, and it was shown to the class my teacher rewrote the assignment according to what we did and used it as an example of great work when recruiting new people.
As a result, I will be one step closer to accomplishing my childhood goal. Furthermore, I hope to set a firm foundation for my business during the last two years of my college career. I will do this by using the knowledge I gain from my education and through a strong work ethic. Albeit I wish to build a successful
It was important for me to continue my education, especially in this field as it has always been a dream of mine. In my family neither of my parents attended college, through the years I have watched them do jobs they hated so me and my siblings could be successful. As I got older my brother attended college, be prospered and graduated in four years. He now has a steady job and
