My passions are Lacrosse, Reading, and Family. It’s important to have passions because it makes you who you are.
I like lacrosse because it’s a new sport with new rules and new everything to me. I like learning all about it. My team has a lot of people, so I can make new friends. Now if you have no idea what lacrosse is I can explain a bit of the rules. First of all there are 24 people on the field counting goalies and the other team. There are defenders, attackers, and midfielders just like in soccer. The goal of the game is to get the ball down the field and score like soccer.
When I was at my first game, I had played defense. There was this girl who would just fling it down the field to the girl I was defending. Finally I got tired
Failure for Moorestown girls lacrosse is not an option. This powerhouse lacrosse program had a winning streak of eighty-eight consecutive games. My sophomore year the program experienced their first loss in what seemed like forever. Continuously, the timer on the scoreboard got closer to triple zeros, everyone’s hearts went into their throats anticipating the end. The opposing team was up by one and were stalling the ball.
Lacrosse is one of the oldest team sports in North America by the Native Americans. Lacrosse was also played to toughen the young warriors for combat, Lacrosse was play for religious reasons and was played for the pleasure of the Creator and to collectively pray for something. Playing time was often from sunup to sundown, Lacrosse
The Lacrosse Journey Just last week I had a crazy adventure and it included my favorite sport Lacrosse so let me tell you about it. So last week the Lacrosse maniac came into town and I had to battle him in a Lacrosse game. It was me against him. First I had the ball and I got around him with a spin
I am also passionate about my friends because if i didn't have them school would be pretty boring. I like lacrosse and almost every sport. I like all kinds of music but hip hop is my favorite. All types of boardgames and videogames but my favorite is video games that have sports in it. I don't really like to read or listen to books because they are hard to stay attached to.
Lacrosse is a sport like no other. When one plays lacrosse it is an experience that can not be forgotten. It is important to know the four basic things about lacrosse. The first thing that is important to know, is how to pass, passing is helpful because in girls lacrosse, you need to pass three times before you shoot. The second thing one needs to know is how to cradle, when you cradle it keeps the ball in the stick, when one runs.
Cole Freeling Changing rules in USA Lacrosse Association/NCAA Women's Lacrosse Introduction: If you have watched the sport of lacrosse, you will notice that women's lacrosse is a lot different than men's lacrosse. Men’s lacrosse is a full contact sport while the game of women's lacrosse is no contact and the rules are vastly different, and many women wish the sport was more like the men’s version of lacrosse. Campaign: Change the sport of lacrosse for woman I am proposing that women's lacrosse should involve more contact, and should alter the rules to do so.
Reminiscing on my lacrosse days, I would not be the person I am today without that experience. By being involved in such a pivotal role, I gained maturity, leadership, time management, communication skills, and most importantly, confidence and learned how to believe in myself. To be an RA, it is essential to have all these. My time management skills I have thoroughly developed will help me balance school, outside activities, and the demands of an RA. Additionally, the maturity, leadership, communication skills I developed serving as a liaison between coaches, parents, and players will transfer to the RA job benefitting the hall director, other resident assistants, and the students.
But loving lacrosse will never change for me. I have big dreams that I want to achieve in lacrosse, and I won’t let anyone or anything stop me from what I love
As you run down the field cradling the lacrosse ball in your stick, it feels like every other girl is barreling toward you at full speed. There is no better feeling, though, than to shoot the ball and watch it sail past the goalie into the net. Growing up in Baltimore, lacrosse is practically a religion. However, I never really felt any interest in lacrosse. In the Spring of my junior year, one of my friends begged me to try out for my high school’s lacrosse team.
During my short life, I have not had many life altering experiences; however, one thing that has changed me for the better is playing hockey. Since I started playing hockey in eighth grade it has been something I have become passionate about for various reasons. One reason is my love for the game in general, and more specifically for playing goalie, the one position that holds the balance of the scoreboard. The second reason is being a part of a team. This is important to me because it gives a strong sense of purpose to the player.
Will Lacrosse Be More Diverse? Lacrosse is a rapidly growing sport across the country, but it largely remains a dominate white sport. According to the most recent N.C.A.A Study only about 1.9% of the division is African American leaving the other 98.1 all the other races, (mostly white). A majority of the teams have one to two players that are white but there are teams, like Cornell, that still have all white players.
Most people my age have a passion for playing sports, but my passion in life is a little different than most. I grew up living on a farm and being around cattle ever since I could walk has been apart of my life, which brought me to one of the reasons why I have a passion for showing cattle. People often wonder why I love showing cattle so much and what the point of it is, but there are so many reasons why I have grown the love for it. There is just something special about the feeling of your heart racing when you walk into the show ring or the handshake from the judge telling you that all your hard work has payed off. The life lessons, the memories, the friends, and the love my family
4.End up Sacrificing a Lot If you plan on playing lacrosse you have to be ready to sacrifice a lot of freedom. For example you will basically be spending all of Saturday or Sunday playing in lacrosse games. Also you use up almost all of your week playing lacrosse which starts right after the school day ends. 5.Lacrosse Keeps You Healthy Playing lacrosse helps you get your heart stronger.
The rules were simple, that the ball may not be touched by hand while throwing and catching the ball with netted rackets, trying to make it in the net for a goal. These rules were created by the tribes Seneca and Mohawks in the year of 1763. Back then they sometimes would use Lacrosse to toughen up young boys who were going to go fight for their country. In Lacrosse, there are only four positions to fill,
The Sport is a devastating road to heartbreak and failure. (I suggest, To experience sports, you have to experience heartbreak and failure - sounds a bit awkward to say “the sport”). It is the definition of it. Don't get me wrong, sports can lead to success, fame, and many other glorious things that others can't imagine. Like the money, land and the "acquaintances"
