Throughout high school, I have been involved in a great number of activities. These include athletics, clubs, and taking part in community service. I have played varsity field hockey my freshman, sophomore, and senior year of high school. I also played varsity lacrosse my freshman and sophomore year. The sport that I am most well known for is swimming, which I have participated in for all four years of high school. For my senior year, I am the girl 's varsity swim captain. Other than athletics, the clubs that I am involved in are the National Honor Society and the National French Honor Society. To gain entry into the National Honor Society, one has to have a GPA that is a minimum of 3.5 and be immersed in a variety of activities. As for the
It is an honor to be chosen to apply for the Columbus Chapter of National Honor Society. National Honor Society has always been something I have strived to be apart of. After reading the the criteria for this honor I feel that I have demonstrated the qualities associated with this organization. I feel that I am deserving of this honor because I truly strive to be the best student I can be in school. I work hard in school and always an prepared when it comes to a quiz or a test.
I feel as though I could benefit National Honor Society through my leadership qualities, willingness to dedicate my time to the community, positive character, and perseverance to succeed in academics. While I may not hold many leadership positions at this time, I am able to step up and take charge in any necessary situations. Additionally, one can see that it is important that I take time out of my day to serve others as I devote two hours each weekend to volunteer. My academic standing is also of importance to me, believing that consistency in school is a crucial factor in achieving success. I challenge myself by choosing to take any honors or AP classes available and striving to put forth utmost effort in each class.
I have been an active member in multiple school extracurricular activities. Mu Alpha Theta is one of the clubs I part take in, and I have been a member for three years. In Mu Alpha Theta, I participate in inter-school test, practice math problems and attend math competition. Another club I participate in is National Honor Society. I have been a member in National Honor Society for eleventh and twelfth grade.
The activity I enjoy outside of my classes is Lacrosse. I started playing Lacrosse in third grade by joining the Farmington Youth Lacrosse team. Lacrosse is something I care about because it is something I am good at and enjoy playing. I also like being on a lacrosse team because it helps me work together with other people and collaborate on group projects in school. What keeps me playing lacrosse is there is always something you can do better and trying to be the best you can be is fun and challenging.
To be in National Junior Honor Society you have to have good character, citizenship, service, and leadership. First, I have good character. It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.
I am deeply honored and humbled to be among the brilliant and best students who are being considered for the NHS. I have been looking forward to this opportunity since I was accepted at Brophy. I know that National Honor Society does great things in our world today. I was a part of National Junior Honor Society at Saint Theresa Catholic School and that that has had a huge impact on the person I am today. I believe that I exemplify the four pillars of National Honors Society, those being character, scholarship, leadership, and service.
The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. I firmly believe that to have academic excellence is giving your best effort to maintain not just having straight As and a high GPA at or close to the edge of attaining a 4.0, but to also have the skills that help you perform your very best in college and beyond. To recap, it is having a well-rounded education with just the right academics and activities best suited to your
To make a significant change in the world, countless hours of preparation, of work, and proactive cooperation with others are crucial for success. I partake in few extra-curricular activities, but I have dedicated years of my life to them all. On a regular week, I have to balance French club and National French Honor Society secretary duties, community service for National Honor Society, and additional choir practice for at least two hours after school each week (while sometimes performing community service with the choir as well). I want to become an engineer; so I take AP classes that are useful and interest me because I will need to know advanced math and science concepts in college. All of these extra-curricular activities and academics will become even more relevant when it is time for me to advance my future goals of pursuing a higher education and making significant efforts to aid the world by designing helpful technology with medical applications.

I wanted to stay involved in my favorite sport, so my dad and I did some research and found the U.S.A. Hockey Student Coaching Program.
