National Honor Society Autobiography

I have found myself to be rooted deep down with my christian ministry group Chi Alpha. We are a group of students that seeks to make relationships within our religion of christianity in order to form a loving community for myself and many others to be a part of. Recently, I have found myself to be useful when it comes to running the soundboard at our worship and collaboration nights where I come in early in order to set up chords and mix the worship band as they practice. This has been an excellent experience as I have been able to keep up my love for music as the same time of attending university. My active participation to this after class activity has developed who I am as a person.

I have contributed to the following extra- curricular projects: three years of SWAT, four years of Raider Riot, three years of varsity Cross Country, four years of varsity Weightlifting, and four years of varsity Softball. I completed my goal of being a part of my high school in any ways possible and if I had to do it again I would do the same

Of my many volunteer and paid extra-curricular activities, the most important to me is the National Art Honor Society, which extends artistic activities to my community. We organize two school events: the Festival of Trees and the Talent Competition. The Festival of Trees is an event when every school club can choose to donate and decorate a tree that we set up. All of the money raised goes to an organization of our choice. For the last 4 years, we have donated to Street Grace, which benefits the fight against human trafficking, especially in the Metro Atlanta area.

As a junior, I am currently enrolled in Pre-AP Pre-Calculus for my math course. For my science course junior year, I am enrolled in Pre-AP Biology. I plan on taking AP Calculus and AP Biology my senior year of high school. Extracurriculars and organizations that I participate in high school include; Girl Scouts, Key Club, Academic Decathlon, treasurer of California Scholarship Federation, tutoring, mentoring, and

Blaze Robotics, FIRST© Team 3184. We are not just a team, we are a family. Inside each of our team members is a roasting fire of emotion in their hearts. Though we are small in number, we are great in our motivation to change our community. We are dedicated on sharing FIRST principles in our community and in our school to make a positive difference in the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

I was able to play what I heard. While learning several instruments, it gave me many opportunities to serve my school. I was given the opportunity to be the accompanist for the choir, play violin for the musical, and serve in the worship

I took classes such as Psychology in my junior year, followed by AP Psychology my senior year. Apart from those, I also took classes such as Statistics and Probability, Sociology, and made sure to do as well as I could in my biology and chemistry classes. I participated in extracurricular activities apart from Psychology Club such as singing in the school choir for four consecutive years, Drama Club, Ecology Club, and Athena Club, which was dedicated to the topic of gender equality and women’s studies. Furthermore, I participated in Penn State’s Upward Bound Saturday Academy, for which I achieved Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance, before attending their summer

High School: As you can see from my resume I have been involved in a lot of extracurricular activities. In high school I was on the varsity Dazzler Dance Team all four years. I was recognized as a leader on the team not only by the team, but by my coach. I helped lead our team my senior year to a 2nd place finish at nationals in lyrical. I also trained and was on a competitive dance team outside of school, at Miller Marley School of dance.

Chorus was with the same chorus teacher, but I joined the Women’s Group, a selective after school program. Since a girl in Women’s Group was involved in the community choir, I also decided to join that. Drama became more involved, with a play in the fall and a musical in the spring. Since some of my friends were part of the newspaper club, I started writing articles for the school newspaper. I also convinced a friend to join the art club with me, which involved more crafts than the painting I was used to.

I began participating in band in 5th grade and throughout the years I have discovered that music is something that I truly enjoy. I originally decided to continue on with band during high school just for fun, unaware on how much of an impact it would have on my life. Through band, I have met some of my best friends and I have experienced once in a lifetime opportunities like performing at Walt Disney World, during a parade. Over the past four years I have drastically improved my musical ability and my leadership skills. Most importantly I have learned the value of a job well done.

I have been enrolled in all core K level classes every year, and this year I am in two dual credit classes. I have never received anything lower than a B on a report card in my high school career. I believe that I manage to balance my time between band and school very well, which can sometimes be difficult. I am also one of the librarians in my band, which is the person who is in charge of all the music we receive. I also help the directors with various tasks for the band.

Throughout my high school career, I was forced into many situations where I was challenged to connect with my peers and serve as a role model for future students. Whether it be my involvement in the school marching band, or helping students in community tutoring sessions, I have always made it my goal to better the people around me through my own efforts. Throughout my high school career, I have put forth my best effort to connect with my peers, transform individuals, and make a difference in my community. Joining the school marching band at the beginning of my freshman year of high school was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Why students should be involved in extracurricular activities Extracurricular activities can range from a variety of things such as sports, clubs, or hobbies that are participated in by a group of peers. Activities like these have many perks but also may contain cons depending on the person and how much effort they are willing to put in to what they do. Overall students that participate in extracurricular activities will have a better outlook in real world situations than students who don 't participate in anything. Extracurricular activities have many pros that can improve the development of students throughout their schooling years. They teach life skills such as time management.

Career Autobiography There are many things that I feel have led me to year number two of graduate school pursuing a career as a school counselor. For I while I tried to convince myself that a career in school counseling was not for me and ultimately everything led me here. My mother has been a school counselor for the last 25 years and I grew up watching her do something she loved. I went to school everyday and watched my mother make a positive impact on many of my classmates and this left a very lasting impression on me.
