As a writer, I am constantly looking for ways to improve. Staying updated with current events keeps me exposed to various parts of the world. I believe that having an interest to learn not only about what’s around you, but also the world in which you live in, is really something that needs more attention amongst the student population. I am always getting inspired to talk and have discussions on topics about current events going on. When I start writing, I find myself having trouble putting my words on paper. It’s easier for me to just have a debate or conversations on something rather than writing it out. There are many times where I vent out my emotions or help myself clear my mind by jotting down notes. Writing is something that I believe will always be apart of me. I love to read about many different things that I haven 't heard of before. It helps me better understand myself and learn about stuff that not many people may know about. When I am writing an essay, I just let my words flow through. I make sure to write whatever comes to mind just so that I can release all my thoughts and ideas before editing my work. When doing this, I feel like a weight has been lifted because then I don 't have to struggle to remember all my thoughts and ideas since I 've already written …show more content…
What I like most about my writing is that they’re all my own thoughts and opinions. I can always express myself through writing even if it’s for no one to read. I’ve always had strong views on topics which relate to major controversial topics. With writing I have a chance to just go free and not worry about what other many think about how I feel towards those topics or issues Writing is private, no one has to see if I choose not to. I can let my mind go free and just pick up the pen and start writing about fantasies, dreams, nightmares, and even problems. I feel that writing down stories about myself, someone else, or even an imaginative person or creature. This helps me create a world of my
“Learning to Read and Write” and “Freewriting” both accomplish the act of trying to express freedom of thought. With free expression, people are able to express themselves through writing. Not only does expressing the self through writing empower a person, but it also acts as motivation. Learning new things and trying to express them through writing down thoughts helps individuals understand themselves. Writing is what makes each individual different.
In the essay “The Art of Surgery” by Richard Selzer, explains the value of writing and how it may allow us to form a realization within the meanings of pain, love, redemption, loss, and happiness. The power of writing allows one to escape their surrounding reality, and engage in a whole new world to express their own ideas, emotions, and thoughts. The reasons to why we may write can be various for any individual. I believe that writing can have both positive and negative consequences, to allow us to see why we may choose to write. Some of the positive outlooks of writing may include; understanding more about oneself, moving on from past situations, and learning more about the environment that surrounds us.
Why do people write? Why is it that we share our thoughts, opinions, advises, stories and experiences through the written word, and why don’t we just transmit all of this by word of mouth? Aside from the purpose of saving information or knowledge on paper, we end up expressing our selves via written words more strongly and accurately than we do verbally. You can come to know people better through reading their work, this is because you cannot lie to that piece of paper in front of you and well why should you?
It is because of reading that it helped develop my interest in writing and journaling, which is enjoyable for me. Just like reading, writing is a great way for me to unwind. I love to write about topics I’m passionate about
This may sound a bit out of line, but it is true. Once I began to see writing as a conversation and not a perfect piece of paper I was able to break through and have an epiphany. I was able to express myself because instead of trying to find the right words to say, I was turning my feelings into the words themselves. I was being vulnerable to making mistakes and teaching myself that we are human: the best face to put forward is an honest one. After this breakthrough, I was able to improve my writing by: connecting with my audience, using rhetorical appeals, and learning self-criticism.
Writing has allowed me to find what it is I am truly passionate about. All my life I have wanted to leave a mark in different aspects of society. This varies from environmental issues to everyday sports injuries as a physical therapist and healthy dieting as a dietitian. Writing allows me to show and explain to others that no one has to follow the path of what is considered “normal.” In today’s society there is no end to any situation or idea.
My feelings toward writing aren 't good nor bad. Writing is something i have had difficulty with in my past. I have no problem brainstorming ideas on what topics to write my assignments on, even if i am given a prompt, but I do have difficulty with sitting down and planning my work. I always find myself getting stuck. So I almost never take the time out to plan out my ideas i come up with.
I find that I usually have more success when writing about something that I truly enjoy and struggle when talking about something I do not really care about. Both my parents were minimal to no help with writing
I wish I was able to write about something that I enjoy. Since I write a lot for my course/assignments I do have writing assignments that I am most proud of. My 9th grade final research
But, as I look back into my steps of learning literacy it came to mind how difficult writing essays were. The biggest piece of the puzzle is to not be afraid to express my opinions and feelings through writing. Sometimes my teachers would encourage me and suggest how we can express ourselves by free writing. This simple technique helped us to express ourselves and we become open to our feelings through
Writing is a vital part of life. Before the creation of written language human communication was limited to verbal, in-person conversations. Everything changed when writing allowed thoughts and ideas to travel farther and more efficient than ever before. Writing is a talent that we learn at an early age and only hone as we proceed through our academic careers. This being said, as with any talent every writer has strengths and weaknesses.
Writing is not just about coming up with ideas and jotting them down on paper saying that it is your story because if it is then it is half done, and readers would not want to read what you have to say about how you feel on an experience that you have explored. Writing is about going through experiences and jotting those experiences down on paper and putting them in order so that the reader can understand what experiences you went through to get to the point that you have come to. Writing is a way to write you feel and to make it easy so that you do not have to speak what is on your mind. In my opinion writing can be my favorite thing to do because I like to write but when it comes to me speaking, I get nervous and do not know what to say when I get in front of a crowd. Writing can also be a way to get out of things such as if you want to break up with someone, tell your parents something that is bad that you do not want to tell them in person, talk to a doctor in a message just in case if your friends are
I enjoy expressing my thoughts in writing. Furthermore, even if the topic is not a personal opinion, I like to embark on the subject with my person opinion, rather than just the content for a subject. Using this allows me a purpose for the writing,
Writing is extremely comforting to me, I even find it therapeutic. As a young writer, I would write short stories on silly ideas like puppies or flowers because I enjoyed that. As I progressed through middle school, I picked up different styles of writing by reading books from various authors. The more styles of writing that I read, the more I wrote. I used to write about fictional characters and subjects.
Writing is a skill that is necessary for life. Writing gives you the ability to express yourself in ways that talking could not. From a young age, I loved to write. Writing acted as a scapegoat to me. It allowed me to vanish from reality.
