Time moves on and generations pass, and each of those generations have a different outlook on the world and what is crucial to them as human beings. While certain values can and should change, other values give stability to life and prosperity to all people. Each culture, country, or person may interpret these statements differently, molding them to their own unique life and challenges. While some may lose sight of a way to live a life that brings good to all people, the beholder of this medicine bag and everyone he encompasses should share this knowledge with the world. The bag isn’t a way of seeing the world, but a way of living. Not specific to our family, but necessary for all people.
Included in this medicine bag I have included a

In life you should make an honest effort in everything that you do, you can’t accidentally climb a staircase because you have to put effort into taking each step up. Effort, is not something that you can come across, it is something you have to put forward yourself. When someone truly is devoted to what he or she is doing, it is easily recognizable through the honest effort that they make to finish the task. You can see this through their determination and work habits, not just through the final project. The same is true for when someone doesn’t give their true best. Effort, doesn’t mean that you have to be the best at something, or that you like doing it, it means that you care about your work and everything you encounter so much that you always strive to do what you can. In generations forward, due to technology, they may think that they don’t need to put work in themselves to get things done, but in reality the world can’t work if no one puts their best foot forward and gets their hands dirty (either literally or …show more content…
Music is a way to express ideas about current events in a creative but functional way. How we express ourselves is a large part of our culture. Culture shapes music, just as much as music shapes culture. When, I’m not here, music needs to be carried on and be still be made. For future generations, making music and sharing how they feel with the world can change their people’s ideals, values, or beliefs. Music makes you feel something, and that’s something that makes it unique and necessary to pass on. Each era has its own art form, and art is so captivating. A drawing or painting is a little window into the past, someone’s life, or what the artist wishes for the future. Making something tangible that represents something hypothetical is a skill that all people no matter how far down the line they are should have. All people need creative ways to express themselves that benefit society and change the way we view the
“You can cage the singer, but not the song”. -Henry Belafonte. For Sonny that was his life story. In the narrative Sonny’s Blues by James Baldwin.
Music can bring the brightest of joys that keeps us moving through our dull and boring lives. An example of this joy is Ishmael Beah’s life as a boy soldier in his book A Long Way Gone. As he tells you his story, he tells of his dance group with his friends, the times he heard music in the middle of war, and how music saved him from the madness that brewed within him. Music has the unique ability to create peace in a person’s life despite the difficulties surrounding them, and to bring a constant reminder of who they are as a person.
The importance of music is unspoken because everyone has their own reason to appreciate it. “Have some composure and where is your posture?” This song excerpt is very relatable to any kid because it is basically saying that you’re supposed to be composed and perfect, but you’re actually not. In this particular song, the meaning behind this lyric is that a woman was having a wedding and she’s supposed to be perfect and composed, but instead she shoots her friend.
Hard work is essential, ultimately, helping us to
Working hard is giving everything you’ve got and not giving up. I
This applies to me because once when I was getting ready to leave a soccer tournament and I thought how if I wouldn’t have worked as hard as I did I wouldn’t have come all this way. I used to think that just trying for something one time would bring me a long ways, but this story teaches me that you have to try something for a long time to become really good at it. Hard work does pay
Henry David Thoreau – an American philosopher and naturalist – once said, “The price of anything is the amount of time you exchange for it.” In this statement Thoreau is basically saying that the worth of something can be measured by the effort you put into it. This statement can be interpreted in a variety of ways but, overall, I agree with this statement. When you want to achieve something, that goal becomes important to you. You find yourself thinking about it and wanting to achieve it.
Music has been an object of miracle, amazement, and even fear since the start of its presence. It has been used as a tool to shape culture and society through history. Music and its people influencing the lives and activities of society. Is this a good thing? Most would say yes.
America is a nation built on immigrants and is considered a melting pot, known until recently for welcoming people from many different countries, races, and religions. An American citizen is an individual who is legally recognized by the government and is entitled to the rights and privileges of the country. These rights and privileges are given to those who are citizens by birth, and to those who have been naturalized. Citizenship also defines an individual’s responsibilities to the country, but just because someone is a citizen, it does not necessarily make them a great citizen.
Since the beginning of mankind music has been identified as a creative way of expressing one’s self. This, along with other uses such as soothing a mind or singing to gain closure with a situation that has occurred, can be found dating back to biblical times with more than enough examples. Fast-forward a thousand years or so and we find that although music has changed drastically, the uses of music are still universal. This is shown through multiple examples of history, one being the time period in which African slaves struggled during a rough time in America. Africans had developed their own style of music back in their homeland, so to no surprise when taken and brought to America their music followed.
“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything” (Plato). If my childhood was filled with anything: it was imagination. From my earliest memories of my cousin, and I putting on a sold out concert on my papaw’s front porch; to putting my baby dolls to sleep with lullabies. Music has always been a big part of my life: it was the one thing I could always count on, no matter where I went; and that still stands true today.
Music has always been a part of my life. In definition, it is “vocal or instrumental sounds combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.” Ever since I was a young child, I have loved music. The strong, steady beats, the entrancing melodies, and the lyrics that vary between heartwarming and heart-wrenching have always had an unexplainable effect on my life. Music seems to have the ability to change certain aspects of my world.
Having right effort is always giving it your all and putting in one hundred percent of
Work Hard Anything without hard work is nothing. “Hard work defeats talent when talent does not work hard.” Hence, despite having everything essential for you to succeed in your entrepreneurial field, if you won’t work hard then it will cost you your life to succeed. Hard work plays a vital role in your journey to success.
