The desire to want to become a nurse grew stronger once I started working as a Medical Assistant back in 2004. I had been introduced to so many departments I couldn’t decide which one I enjoyed the most. However, I can definitely say working in pediatrics was a bit scary for me. I was young with no kids and I felt awkward at times with other people’s kids, especially taking care of sick kids and be the stranger that had to gain their trust in a short amount of time to collect the information, I needed to help the Doctor do his or her job. Given my past experience starting with medial assisting I think this was the start of me making the decision to pursue nursing based on what I had learned and experienced. I also love the idea of working with my coworkers and the nurses and just being part of a team that took care of each other in the work setting as well as making sure you were also good outside of work it’s like having a family away from home. As far as my future goals nursing definitely fits in the picture as I hope to become a nurse educator at some point in my
